I hate to say it, but the opinions of enthusiasts are pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things. If enthusiasts react negatively to the track being painted black, I doubt Alton Towers will really care. Repainting is very expensive (I believe Nemesis’ 2016 paint job cost £120,000?), so I highly doubt that Towers would repaint an entire roller coaster to please a vast minority of guests. Can't wait to see them repaint it back to its old Look after the negative feedback from Thusies! Lemme just grab my popcorn and get cosy!
Honestly this is how I feel. It’s a track colour for the same ride, I really couldn’t care lessWhy? It’s a track colour ffs
But seeing as the black track appears to have had gloss applied, as well as the fact that the ends and joins are still grey (a typical primer colour), surely that would suggest that the black coat isn’t a primer coat? There’s a thing called primer
I think people need to calm down until the track is physically at Alton Towers, we’re over a year away from Nemesis reopening… Thematic painting may not happen until it is in place/on site.
If it’s still black track come winter 2023/24 then I will take that as confirmation of a change in visuals. I’m all for speculation but it not confirmatory at this stage, the track pieces are still in the manufacturing stage.
What is it that makes you sceptical, out of interest?Let's not assume that everything we read/see on the internet is true.
No one's forcing you to look at it, Rob.What about us who don't even want to see the shipping label?
Well if we get brand new trains then yes, that is likely.Kind of a shame that it’s potentially going to be black but I suppose it’s a good opportunity to freshen up the look and make it actually look new.
Wonder if this means the trains will change colour as well?
