C37-L is the footer you are referring to, the one at the bottom of the steps in the queue on the LHS before you cross over the bridge over the loop exit.Water doesn’t really impact concrete, the issue with the footer was just wear and tear I would wager.
A very stressed footer and the one that was displaying significant wear & tear on the final day of the 2001 season [fireworks event day]. Technical Services did not want Nemesis opened on this day, but they were over-ruled, ultimately by Ralph Armond who told the head of Technical Services to sign the ride off.
You could hear the difference in the "B&M roar" the train made as it went over this footer - you could see the track stanchion move on the footer plate too.
