[2024] Voltron Nevera | Mack Stryker Coaster

This recent nonsense from some enthusiasts about roughness is hilarious. There appears a trend towards saying that a coaster that has even the slightest issue is rough.

Do these people forget about really ROUGH coasters? You know, the ones that properly break your back, or bash your head against restraints?
Tbf, just because some coasters are/were UNBEARABLE doesn’t mean that others that aren’t quite in the same leagues of roughness cannot be described as rough

Can’t be any worse than the ultimate was surely and we all loved that for some weird reason. …

T'Ultimate just about snuck into the "so bad it's good" area. Presumably helped by the complete juxtaposition between the 2 sections.

But nowadays it's all about having AN opinion. Gotta get those clicks and people posting links to YOUR videos because YOUR opinion is the ONLY one that people can swear by being the absolute truth.

I mean Mir is next door. That's more like perfection.
Mir is the exact reason I will be approaching Voltron with caution.
Having ridden The Ultimate many times, Jaguar at Isla Magica, Goudurix with the old trains and Manhattan Express with the old trains I would no question choose to ride any of those again over Euro Mir and am currently undecided if to actually let my kids on it.

Yet alot of Europa Park fans love Mir..... hence very unsure about Voltron too with the mixed feedback.

If you're with others, try and get an inside seat on Voltron for your first ride. If you use single rider though, you'll almost certainly be on the wing.

This is another reason I’m wary, I have to take the bullet for my son so no choice but to take a wing.

I don’t usually mind rattling, it’s head banging or whiplash that are problematic so hoping it’s not too bad.

Headbanging won't be an issue due to the lap bars, but be prepared to come off with a headache.

I know far more people who find that Voltron is absolutely fine than those who think it is borderline horrendous. Yes, there is a difference between trains and yes, row 3 wing seats do appear to be the worst. But having ridden it roughly 20 times I've not once come off thinking it was bad. My rides have varied from glass smooth to a bit of a rattle/vibration. If you do get a train/seat with that rattle/vibration then I can see how you might get a headache, but this all comes down to the individual, we all react differently.

The ride I had on Hyperia the other week had more of a vibration than any ride I have had on Voltron!

It is undeniably at intense coaster with lots of negative and positive Gs. Again, that is not for everyone.

Thank you.

It's intense with relentless pacing- the breather provided by the turntable is needed given the length of the ride.

But the way people are describing it is making it sound like Condor is a pleasant walk in the park in comparison. I get that everyone's tolerances are different, but cmon.
Like Rob, my rides (coming up to 50, I have a problem) have varied from glass smooth to rattley, with row 3 wing seats being the main culprit of the more turbulent rides and of course the infamous train 7. The only time I've had a slight headache after a ride was on one of my first ones, as it was a very hot day, I was dehydrated, and it broke down leaving us stuck on the booster launch for a bit under the sun. Smiler delivers a much worse ride experience on a good day in my opinion!

Wondering if some are so fast to claim it as 'rough' given the likes of Blue Fire nearby and the recent slew of new gen Vekomas popping up everywhere (Fianna Force clears Hyperia don't @ me).

Personally I found it really smooth both times I rode, although I was on an inside seat for both rides. It's super intense as everyone has said, but a lottery as to which train you get.

Pretty sure we got row three both times, as both of my group who rode on a wing seat came of with a headache (we were definitely on row three for our second ride as I have photographic evidence).

Voltron sounds like it’s the most polarising coaster out there!

Interesting that another contender is Hyperia and they’re the same manufacturer.

That and the apparent decline of B&M, I wonder has something actually changed or is it people’s expectations have been raised?
