[2025]: Ed & Edda Grand Prix Edventure | Mack Gameplay Theater

Any guesses as to when it could open? I'm looking at going for my first-ever visit sometime in May 2025. Not a biggie of course but would be nice if it was open by then.

No indication yet. I believe they are making more announcements regarding the 2025 season early next month, so there might be something then. However, EP don't tend to give opening dates of attractions until closer to the time when they are sure of the opening being achieved.

That being said, May means you've probably got a decent shout of this being open.

Michael Mack has shared a concept showing how the entrance to the new attraction will look:

I know it's only a concept, but I'm not totally convinced with how that's going to actually look and fit in with the park. Having said that, maybe those green and yellow food stands will finally get an update or refresh!?

This is obviously just concept art, but it looks quite tacky. There's a decent chance that it will look much better once it's built, as theme parks don't usually stick extremely close to concept art.

As part of today’s press conference, Europa-Park have confirmed that this will open with the park on 22 March!

That's brilliant news! Will certainly be interesting riding both it and Paulton's version just a couple of weeks apart in May.

I rode this today and it was still in “technical rehearsal”.

I won’t put any spoilers.

First up, the queue line is lovely. Really top notch from them, once you get to the inside part. Big set pieces and an anamatronic. Audio and effects throughout too.

Then on to the ride….

As a fan of Toy Story midway mania, I wanted to love this ride but it’s miles away in its current state. The guns weren’t that responsive, the screen quality wasn’t as good as you’d hope and expect. On top of that, the screens didn’t really sync up to the guns.

I THINK there was a storyline throughout but goodness knows what it was on the ride. There’s too much going on. Either have it as a story based ride or a shooting gallery as per Midway mania.

Once the teething issues are sorted, it’ll be an ok ride. Not one I’d queue any more than about 15-20 minutes for.

Hopefully once it’s not in technical rehearsals, it’ll be a much better product.

On the whole, quite disappointing but an excellent queue!

I've just watched a few POVs and I know the ride is in tech rehearsals at the moment but it does look pretty crap. I was expecting half screens / half sets but it is entirely screen based apart from the end scene which again does contain a large screen. As previously said I think it would benefit from the Midway Mania style game as opposed to being half and half with a story as I don't see what the shooting has to do with it.

Hopefully Ghostly Manor is the better of the two!
