2025: General Discussion

First I’ve heard about this, are these Scenic Staff from MMM North, Construction Staff from AT Ents or a mix of both?

Considering how much of a bottleneck Cuckoo Cars has become, and a heavier need for accessibility since it was built. It would be easier to just get rid of the attraction and open up the area. Better access for both Hex and Gangsta Granny, and means people won’t have to walk around the dead zone next to The Dungeons just to get into Walliams.

CBeebies has been the obvious relocation site for a while, maybe the coaster won’t be the only addition there next year.

Definitely some MMM north staff. It’s called “Magna Studios” but it seems a new venture.

Given how sporadic the work can be I really hope they can make it work. There’s a long list in the UK of companies falling on hard times.

Decent day on park today and not busy at all. One niggle though (There's always at least one ;) ) :The state of the road from entrance gates to car parks. Its in a terrible state, full of deep pot holes, which have in true British fashion been marked up, some for a few weeks now, but not filled in.The road was resurfaced not all that long ago wasn't it. Felt like taking a slalom course navigating around some of the crater sized ones

It’s been this way since the start of 2024

Shrinkflation affecting our rides too now eh?

What’s next? One lap on RMT? Half of Altymans bypassed? Has anyone measured ride-time on Nemmy since the retrack? Could have chopped a few metres there.. 😄

This is what really annoys me when you have to pay a substantial amount to park there but they can’t even fill in the pot holes!

Woke nonsense

Open the window
Its not woke nonsense its safety, those gondolas are like green houses get warmer and warmer increasing risk of heat stroke, in the event of an emergency say a station caught fire and the ride had to stop and be evacuated it could take hours 5+ Hours in gondolas that could exceed the outside temperature doesn't sound pleasant, they have their reasons for of it I am sure

Yehhh… you missed the sarcasm

They really need to have a think about what on earth they’re doing.

Like always, I remember the old gondolas with their barely secure doors. 2 small windows could easily drop things out of (allegedly) and being in them in far hotter days than recently.

Why the change?

This is what back up generators are for.

Yes there’s a risk but it’s small and mitigated.

Adding one way reflective film to the windows seems a sensible mitigating act too.

Like these things don’t operate all around the world.

I’d file this one under the same silly Alton bullshit as the new monorail loading procedures and having to look at the RMT through a plastic window by the tunnel.

Nonsense.

Personally, I prefer assessments of risks to be done by the appropriate, trained and educated professionals.

Not thoosies.

Long closed ride, very recently reopened.

Time to cut a bit of slack, isn't it?

They have got it back open again.

As others have already said, imagine the media feast if there were real issues.

Running in new mechanical plant.

It isn't always turn it on and walk away.
