[2025 onwards]: Camp Resort Expansion - Silver Lake City

Michael Mack has confirmed that YULLBE is moving to Silver Lake City, as we already heard further up the thread. Was surprised to see that it's moving, as opposed to being a new location, with the current location next to Krønasår closing on 30th June 2025.

Makes sense though as nearer to the park and should see more footfall, interestingly though, mentions that YULLBE GO is moving... Which hints that YULLBE PRO is no more post June?

Thomas Mack has confirmed that the new hotel/guest house opening at Silver Lake City next year will be called Riverside Western Lodge.

Here's a closer look at the photos depicting the model of the whole area:

It just all looks incredible!

Yes the bar is this year, with the onsite brewery to follow next year with the guest house. I suspect the brewery will be in collaboration with Brauwerk Baden.

A bar at Silver Lake is much needed, it will be nice to be able to stay for a drink down there after having some food.

Very much looking forward to checking out the area with my wife and son at the end of June, booked Diner Station and thought it would be nice to check out the new restaurant, but what with that, the Wild Horse bar, the kids play area and the mini golf, I think we'll be spending the most, if not all of our first night there for sure...

Interestingly the model above seems to show an extended caravan area in place of the current camping location. Do we know if this is moving or are they removing camping from their offering?

So not seen this mentioned, but the Preview for the Silver Lake City that was in Wild Horse Bar is now in a marquee / gazebo to the left of the bar.

Currently in Diner Station, and I'll share photos of these shortly 👍🏼

After a couple of visits to Silver Lake over the last week, I had a few observations: -

- the Wild Horse Bar is really well done. It’s larger inside than I expected and also has an outdoor seating area, which was regularly packed whilst the inside was empty. Drinks prices are (for the Europa range) at the top end.

- the changes are so extensive to the main entrance pathway that it took a while to get your bearings. It really is a huge transformation already.

- the new kid’s playground is a welcome addition.

- bull rides are now €2.50

- the crazy golf is, I’m afraid to say, both poorly designed and badly executed, to the point of seeming unfinished. There are exposed wires everywhere, ducting popping out of the ground, badly maintained surfaces full of bark chipping, misaligned features, some fairly uninspiring holes, badly set levels (meaning your ball bounces up where it shouldn’t) and a general total confusion around where you are supposed to aim (getting the ball where you would expect it to create an advantage often does the reverse).

- to add to the crazy golf woes, the positioning of the new cabins directly on that crazy golf course is a mad idea. To have people constantly wandering past your balcony and bedroom window is not going to appeal to many people.

- audio around the resort has seen an upgrade. It’s now consistent, with new speakers in many places at a decent volume, even if it’s a little more country and western, than duelling banjos.

- the road between the Saloon and Diner Station, which one would expect to have been printed concrete, is unfortunately just tarmac. Hopefully that will be replaced when construction completes, but I’m not convinced it will be.

- Diner Station itself exceeded my tepid expectations. It’s now the best value buffet at the Resort and the food is good quality for what it is. The theming is pretty good too, representing a train station, including ticket office, waiting room and even the train carriages.

- the place itself was as busy as I’ve ever seen it - probably a product of the increased capacity from the new cabins. It created a real buzz, although it does perhaps detract from the sometimes peaceful setting around the lake. That’s probably a personal preference thing.

- after a bit more digging, I was also able to clarify exactly what the new brewery is/ where it’s located. Artwork in the Mack Bank shows a separate bar as the brewery and the drinks menu in Diner Station confirms the beer is coming soon. The brewery seems to start brewing this year, at least based on the signs, but the associated bar will open with the hotel in 2026.

Apparently theres a toilet issue with campers, resulting in people shitting in bushes. Yeah not fine.

Can anyone speak German to translate this fully, I'm supposed to be staying there in 4 weeks with 2 kids so really need to know what is going on here.

EDIT - Just found YouTubes translate button, it doesn't sound like a great situation, does anyone know how far the walk actually is?
