[2025] Project Ocean: New Forbidden Valley Flat Ride

I do quite like the name Toxicator, but I agree with what some others have said in thinking that the whole branding image that we’ve seen so far looks very X-Sector/Smiler adjacent, more so than the rest of the area (despite what some have said, I don’t think FV and X-Sector are overtly similar).

I’m interested to see whether they just go for the fountains that are typical with this ride type (and indeed, Ripsaw had), or whether we get more theming on the side.

I get what you are all saying about this ride fitting better into X-Sector but I think you're thinking about it much much more than the casual AT visitor would. If they do a good job of the theming, it will work on it's own as a standalone, just like many rides in theme parks do.

Also, how tall is this in total - the raised platform and the ride hardware? Would it not be too tall to go in X-Sector?

22 metres I think.

This should not be an excuse, attention to detail is key! this is why Alton Towers falls behind most European theme parks nowadays. I really hope Universal comes and saves us all

Looks like Towers may be having issues with the name "Toxicator"... a "notice of threatened opposition" was filed a couple of days ago.
I wonder if Alton Towers saw this coming, which is why they avoided using the 'Toxicator' name in the advertising, and used the more vague 'Submit to the spin' phrase instead?

Merlin recently had their fingers burnt with not being able to use the 'Icarus' name for Hyperia, so perhaps they came prepared this time?

They rarely give an attraction name away in teaser marketing. It's the biggest asset they have to fire out of the cannon during the off-season on a slow new days to capitalise. I expect we'll have the name announcement in January, regardless of if it remains to be seen as Toxicator.

They usually don't reveal the name for a new ride straight way though, so I think they had planned to use the Submit to the Spin tagline from the start.

Edit: just beaten by @Danny
