[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin

As a ride experience it will be almost identical, hence why I’m not particularly excited about it sadly (and in fact I’m actively annoyed as for all intents and purposes they’ve removed a ride my son could go on and replaced it with one he can’t due to the height restriction).
They closed Ripsaw in 2015 and are opening the new one in 2025 and your son is still not tall enough to ride the new one?

I'm all for calling out Towers when they do stupid things but I don't think you can moan about a height restriction change from 10 years ago if he wasn't tall enough to ride it back then.

I think he's saying they have removed Blade (which his son could ride) and added in with PrO (which his son can not ride). And that he personally is not that excited by PrO because he rode Ripsaw which is essentially the same thing.

I can't speak for how the removal/renewal has affected your family; you may be pleasantly surprised as to quite how dynamic and nifty the floorless Top Spin feels in comparison to the more lumbering, first-generation models like Ripsaw. Talocan and it's ilk are excellently intense, assuming you're into this sort of thing.

Nailed it.

Did not nail it 😂

From riding both Ripsaw and Talocan (both 10+ years ago, so it's a fairly accurate comparison) I think the ride experience is quite different. Talocan is seriously intense! I actually preferred the milder forces of Ripsaw, which was still intense but within a range that made it more re-rideable.
I am glad they are replacing the old ride with the newer model. But personally I don't see myself re-riding it many times. I'm mainly happy for the spectacle of watching it off ride.

The fountains on the newer ones don't hit the riders as well which is a massive improvement. I think this will have them omitted entirely which is fine.

Newer models are better to ride.

Having done Talocan for the first time in ages over the weekend, my enthusiasm for this has lessened as I just don't enjoy the ride experience anywhere near as much as the standard top spin. Taking out the floor makes the ride extremely uncomfortable on the flips.

I don't think the issue is Project ocean, that is replacing Ripsaw really, other than retrosquad nothing else filled that space.
The Blade removal is the issue, they could have kept both rides (assuming its not a structural issue with Blade), or replaced Blade like for like.

Definitely looks like it will have fountains which is nice. Also, I wonder if Blade is gonna be sbno all season and what will, if anything, eventually replace it.

I expect it will have fountains. Although I welcome the fountains, I wouldn't be surprised if some are put off from riding if they allow the riders to get wet.

Or…
Fire effects?
Just thinking perfect sized storage tanks next to the ride
Could be, but I wonder how it could tie into the theme, clearly it is supposed to be intoxicating people or something like that with a lot of fluid shown in the advertising, so water could make sense as a replacement for toxic fluid, flames I guess could work as an industrial thing but water seems to make more sense.

I would imagine that if fountains any water wouldn't hit the gondola as it would spray onto the path and make that walkway impractical to use when it is operating (the catch things next to the fountains look like a mesh)

Maybe rather than fountains, they could be smoke pipes to release green smoke to represent toxic gases? Imagine at the start of the ride cycle, the green smoke is shot out of the pipes to create a wall of smoke making the gondola hidden to bystanders, and how on a calm day the smoke would look quite impressive swirling round the gondola as is spins round. Using smoke also ties in nicely with the extra smoke used on Nemesis coming from the monster that hits the trains.
