[2026] Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land

I assume the sloped exit on the airgates' side will be the wheelchair/non-ambulant exit. If so, then it kind of makes the wheelchair lift at the main queue/RAP merge point a bit pointless.

Here's a construction update from TPWW. There is so much more work to do that I'm not convinced it'll be finished in time for the season opening on March 14th. Could explain why they haven't announced an opening date yet.

Pretty sure Shawn said in one of his recent videos that he's not expecting it for the start of the season.

I wouldn’t count it out yet. Octonauts pretty much only had assembled track at this point in 2015, and that managed a start of season opening!

There's nothing we've seen today to suggest that they couldn't get this coaster open for the start of the season if that's what they're aiming for.

The only really unknown at this point is testing, but for a coaster of this type, testing is not normally that daunting an experience. I'd imagine the only reason we've not been given a date yet is because it would be unwise to announce a date until they've had the train round the track a few times. Other than that, the construction is pretty much on pace with what we saw for Octonauts.

It'll be interesting to see if they have anything else planned to show off during Feb Half term, as clearly their marketing strategy is to give content creators something to get some traction on social media. The two things that spring to mind are either a test run or two towards the end of the week, or the installation of some significant bit of theming (similar to when the whale arrived for Octonauts).

The fact they have a sign outside the ride telling people it could be testing suggests that may be happening this week.

Just going back to @IanB posts I think theirs an interesting point about IP based rides that hasn't been touched on.

For a non-IP based ride I actually agree that if you can make the front cart part of the experience it makes it that extra bit more special. You don't want to go too over the top (don't want guests fighting over the front seat, given that it's normally the best seat anyway due to the unobstructed view). But getting to be the driver is a nice bonus experience.
I even love the idea of having an animatronic character at the back (although that does come with some technical challenges).

However an IP ride comes with a pre-established story, and there's an even greater appeal for gusts to feel like they are part of that story. The inclusion of "the Grannies" is a very specific reference from the show as these personas of Bluey and Bingo only appear in a handful of episodes. And a common theme of those episodes is them getting away with things that only old ladies can, including driving recklessly. In this context it absolutely makes sense to have them at the front of the train.
The last thing they need to do to justify having the Grannies on the train is to have them repeating some of their lines from the show. Do that and the guests will love it!

Spring opening leaves a wide range of possible opening dates from March to May.

Not sure its the wisest to open new rides on opening day as you will have a larger influx of guests on that day anyway. If you open a ride later than opening day it means the public are more likely to come back to give it a go

I also think, however, that delaying the opening runs the risk of people delaying their visits rather than visiting twice.

After watching TPWs construction update video, dare I say that the ride looks big enough to justify an adult riding without a child, without looking like a shameful cred hunter?! Certainly seems like a step up from Octonaughts
