Will be interesting to see what they do with the tunnel, now the route doesn't do through it.

I think you could easily make that tunnel into a station for another ride perhaps a small log flume or Suspended Monorail to take you round the otherside of CBeebies Land think there is many thing you could do with it.

I really think Cbeebies Land needs another water ride or a Dark Ride for rainy days.

Would like more older show themes to feature that cater also to older watchers and could be cool for young ones to

So sad. This is my daughter’s favourite ride on the park. She’s 5 now and it’s still her first stop on each visit, and I’ve got many happy memories from when she was 2-3 of going through that tunnel while she shouted at the top of her lungs to wake up the Cbeebies bugs and waving at Upsy Daisy. Her baby sis just won’t get that experience now.

But hey, at least we’re losing one ride and ruining another so that a ride nobody asked for can get shoehorned in. How fantabulous!

Not ruining a ride just changing it slightly Get Set Go you will still get good views of the area and still will be a nice length think it will be similar now to winstons whistle stop tour in terms of length.

And we are getting a new ride something we have been asking for

I mean, they have quite literally re routed the ride to remove it from whst was always, the rides signature and most iconic set piece. I am not sure there is any other word than ruining it?

Winstons is not a good comparison, because that ride is hallariously short, especially the time you can queue for it.

I guess… (and this is scraping the bottom of the barrel somewhat)… we can at least be glad it’s been rerouted and reopened, and not just flat out closed? 😕

Tricky one. I know my daughter would be devastated if she were to visit and the ride was gone, but similarly I already know that the next time we ride it I’m going to have to explain why we’re taking a wrong turn and not going into the Cbeebies house.

Both of them loved the Postman Pat ride too; even the queue line games. It’s a sad time for sure - I know I sound dramatic but when it’s things your kids love getting destroyed you get weirdly over-defensive.

could they re-extend the ride after the construction is finished, a while ago I matched up the plans and the path and it looked (not a definitive confirmation) as though each ride could coexist or is it essentially said as permanent in the planning permission, I also couldn't see anything fitting in the space of that tunnel.

an advantage of shortening the track, is the queue should move quicker (I have never been in Cbeebies but I understand it was a problem)

I am willing to give them some time, as there could be more to this (as the current coaster (octonaughts) isn't in an ideal location, in the corner of the land not very themed and apparently a pain to queue for)

I dont think shortening the track will make the ride queue quicker, they will still have to dispatch cars at the same interval, meaning they will arrive back at the same time. I would assume it will now operate with less vehicles due to being shorter.

For the past couple of years there have been several vehicles out of use so presumably they won't need to remove any more. A shorter ride would therefore mean slightly higher capacity but fixing the other cars would have achieved the same thing.

I understood the problem as them having too few cars, meaning there was a long time spent just waiting for a car

no matter the problem, I would say AT should replace that ride with something like the mack powered "coaster" ( in universal IOA, much more seats per train,
I also understand get set go is an old ride, I feel like I recall reading it was originally pedal powered then moved into powered (I can't imagine it is very easy to fix)

The universal IOA ride:

It was always powered, the pedals were just there for fun.

You do understand what CBeebies is and its demographic right?

It’s aimed at children 0-6.

Sometimes I question that when Hey Duggee squeezes in a joke (or entire episode) clearly aimed at adults.

They could. But won't. The entire ride needs dragging into the 21st century rather than a half arsed alteration which I didn't realise was now avoiding the indoor bit entirely. Whose idea was that when surely just doing a s-bend around the forthcoming coaster would've probably been easier?

Queue won't move any quicker if they only have 3 cars on the track.

I would agree, I also just realised that AT have a mack powered coaster RMT, it is quite old so probably wouldn't share electronics and a few parts, however there would probably be some part commonality allowing for reduced maintenance cost.
