my only concern with it going yellow, is it will look far dirty and grottier than it did when it was purple after a couple of years, especially how everything at towers goes green fairly quickly
It’s going to end up yellow and black and look like a Smiler reject part isn’t it

It is kinda a pre season test run for the park.
Also we know 2 of those rides are under going refurbishment Congo River Rapids and Bugbie Go Round.
There could of been delay's in winter maintenace due to the rsin especially if they were painting up the rides
However there should be more open

I like the idea of the track in its original colours but I agree with @djtruefitt that it’s going to look grimy quickly. Better keep that jet washer at the front of the shed.

It does looks great and from that angle looks just like the iconic logo on the adverts from decades ago, but I can't but help think of this...

I much prefer it in the original yellow colour.
Yes, the lift-hill sound was great, but the ride was getting a bit rubbish and very bumpy towards the end of its life. It was still worth going on occasionally for the brief view from the top of the lift-hill though, if nothing else.

I completely agree, Matt... Yellow is my favourite colour, but it does not suit the corkscrews on the entrance plaza at all.

My guess is that AT realise that purple probably looks better than yellow (hence why they chose purple in the first place), but they have been on a nostalgia kick since around COVID (and/or when John Burton took over), and so they reverted to the original colour for that reason alone.
But perhaps I am wrong (as per).
It might have made more sense to repaint it yellow in 2020 rather than 2026, as it was the 40th anniversary of the ride.
Maybe a wider Towers Street overhaul is coming. Next year, and the Corkscrew is first part to this. Like sorting out the security placement should be after you pass the turnstiles
