2026: General Discussion

MAP is listed on Clubcard rewards for 4x value. It says it'll be available to redeem from the 7th. But in the description, it only says doubled in value. *shrugs*

Had a really good day to finish off my 3 day visit. Finished the day with a Smiler single rider walk on only for winds to leave me stuck on the final break run for 10 minutes. Also noticed the D & G monorail bus replacement had somehow left the road and crashed itself into the verge and bushes on the main car park taking out a bin on the process…. Not sure how he had managed that but following the bus was about as mobile as the monorails are currently

It's got a wheel in the soft verge, easily drag it out. Not exactly a safety risk.

When we passed there was a crumpled bin a few meters in front of it and the whole bus was sitting with the tarmac firmly wedged against the underside of the chassis. My guess is someone’s pulled out in front and he’s swerved into that verge hitting the bin and whatever else was they as he came to a stop. There’s a high chance of some damage underneath it.

That said taking the busses out that way with cars etc all fighting to go out too isn’t the best route they could use.

From today, I have noticed a few things, I don't think has been mentioned:

TCAAM has scaffolding up with work on going to its roof.

RMT looks to have a new queue fencing, and new light posts for hopefully permanent lighting (No lights yet, it looks like the same posts as currently on the TCAAM - FV path so could be string lighting)

CRR is in the middle of having a new set of very shiny lift hill chains (you can see the rusty old ones next to them on a pallet)

(There is also some monorail movment)

So things are going on, just really should've been done earlier on in closed season.

Always great to get a closed season update.

Oh wait.

Edit: beaten to it by hid.

As has been said many times, it was a very wet winter, it’s highly likely some things could not have been done during the winter weather. Also issues with the lift hill chain may not have been found until part way through closed season and then there is the wait for the new parts.

Is there something amiss with the Towers website as all tickets are stated as being £68, no reductions for advanced tickets, despite the promos of ‘buy one get one free from £32’ being advertised on the site?

Just seen this, must be a glitch surely?

I just came on here to ask about this!

£68 is outrageous given the poor quality for product and service currently being offered by the park.

If they’re trying to go with the Paultons Park approach of charging higher prices to keep the queues down, then they’re forgetting one important point. Paultons has a premium product and can therefore charge a premium price. Alton Towers does not.
