[2026] Monaco Themed Area (Silver Star Re-Theme)

Although it does look very nice and I do agree with the Croatia comments above. Apart from slapping a Monaco sign at the entrance I'm intrigued to how they're going to make it look like and know you're in Monaco.

I suppose they could turn the F1 curbs into a roulette wheel and make the building be themed to a casino.

Apart from that, what else is Monaco known for? Yachts and tax exiles?

This is ultimately a low-investment 'refresh' of an area of the park that regularly came in for criticism, in terms of Silver Star being a box with no theming either externally or internally.

It will clearly be an improvement to that.

Anybody expecting more than a fairly simple refresh and enhancement will be let down.

2026 is shaping up to be the quietest year for the park in a while but given recent developments such as Voltron, the huge 50th offering I think this is understandable.

The place to watch in 2026 is Silver Lake City.

It'll be nice to hopefully see the box room be used for something. Ideally I'd like to have seen them entirely reroute the queue and make the room less box but I doubt that'll happen.

From looking at the Monacco 'area' this weekend, it looks like the area behind the dome is going to be opened up permanently and the facades will be themed to Monacco. The area is already french themed but is only opened up when there is an event which will give the area a bit more space.

I’m guessing if they do open that space up, it would be to put something there (it’s no great use as just the bland paved area it is at present). It begs the question - what would that be?

Never seen any of Monaco bar the F1 on TV. A massive yacht/harbour was never on the cards. :p At least it looks very polished and premium even if say the theming isn't obvious. Hope they don't lose the eiffel tower tables outside that area (back of the globe)

The park have shared this video showing the interior theming work for the "new" Monaco area. Pleasantly surprised to see they are really transforming the hall with facades representing different parts of the country.

That is certainly more substantive than I was expecting! Possibly going to be a bit jarring with the exterior of the hall remaining largely the same but I can't imagine there was a quick or easy way around that.

I think it'll work. A smart modern building in somewhere with so much money isn't that much of a stretch. Despite the image of it being older style buildings, there is modern design buildings in Monaco itself.

I'm pleased the hall of misery is being sorted. Always felt odd.
