[20XX] Puy du Fou UK

Hey, come on now...broad brush strokes there.
With all due respect, some old gits actually support this.
Even though I will probably have kicked the bucket before it happens.

Oxford Mail published this article yesterday:
Puy du Fou partners with college group in bid for employment
A theme park proposing to build a site in Oxfordshire has announced that it has partnered with a local college group in a bid to provide pre-qualified staff.

Puy du Fou, a historical park with no rides, is proposing to build a site near to junction 10 of the M40 on land north of Bucknell, near Bicester.

The award-winning company already has a site in France and in Spain, which opened in 1978 and 2021 respectively.

Earlier this year a public consultation was launched which outlined details of the proposed Oxfordshire site, which included a masterplan.

It said the park in Oxfordshire would be open between April and October and would have four period villages and 13 live shows.

A planning application is expected to be submitted to Cherwell District Council this summer. If planning is consented it could be built by 2029, and Puy du Fou says it would deliver 2000 direct jobs and 6000 indirect jobs when it is fully operational.

The company has now announced it has formed a 'working partnership' with Activate Learning, which operates Banbury and Bicester College.

The college is in Banbury is the largest college in north Oxfordshire, offering more than 100 courses for 16-18 year olds and adults. Activate Learning also operates City of Oxford College and Blackbird Leys Technology Campus.

The two organisations have formed a 'commercial relationship' to work towards providing pre-qualified staff to work at the proposed park.
