Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion

I'll have whatever the managers are smoking, please.

I don't really understand what the point is? You can't exactly get on many rides if you're parading a pup around, and the park isn't exactly furnished with activities for four legs.

Thoroughly disappointed the marketing team never thought of 'dog days of summer' or 'bark and ride'. Hope those generate a few leads, might be needed at a tenner a terrier.

This thing that Valhalla only had 4 cameras prior to the refurbishment isn't true; you can see more than 4 in this POV from 2019!

Perhaps originally, back in 2000, that was the case - but it's had more than 4 cameras for years.

I do not doubt you, but can you point them out, as they are not obvious? It could be the case that by the time the attraction was refurbished, there were only 4 in operation, due to many breaking over the years and never getting repaired. Very plausible given the extreme wetness and dampness in the building. If this was the case, it would make their statement of there only being 4 cameras correct.

Anyone know when Valhalla Tromel stopped working also this video shows how much changed within Valhalla. Like those glowing giants eyes were removed and the Viking helmet on the lift hill.

Seems also the new version is a lot brighter than the old with lightning

Dogs are commonplace in European parks. Even Merlin don’t charge for you taking your pooch to Heide Park.

Anyone who would take a skittish animal with teeth, bred for centuries to kill other animals, to a loud, chaotic theme park full of children... is not a responsible pet owner, in my opinion.

Very few dogs have been bred to kill other animals. Even hunting dogs are more bred to harass an animal towards the human doing the hunting rather than make the kill themselves.

Its why stray dogs tend to scavenge for food rather than hunt, they are pretty much dependant on humans to make the kill.

Anyway that’s a bit off topic.

I think Dog Days is an excellent idea from Pleasure Beach, firstly its something different, its a differentiator from other theme parks it also allows people who say I can't leave the dog all day to potentially go. I agree also its more common in some European theme parks and it doesn't seem to cause any problems and people who consider the dog part of the family like to do days out with the dog so I say good on them. Only thing I would question is why charge £10 for dog I'd have thought it would be more about attracting people who don't want to leave their dog at home. My parents specifically look to go places which are dog friendly so I think its a good thing to try.

No-one, no thing and nobody gets free entry to Pleasure Beach Resort, Blackpool.

As you've highlighted, people with dogs will specifically look to places that their canine companion is welcome. They'll happily pay a premium for that.

If people are going to treat their pups like children, they may as well incur the costs of children.

I'm not sure Mandy distinguishes much between them, they're all potential revenue generators for her.
