Here is the shiny new topic for BPB chat. Doesn’t seem like it will be a very exciting season, especially for those of us who don’t like flat rides.

Exactly as I said above! Soooo pleased you enjoyed it! I hope everyone has that "OMG How great is this" moment if they try Aviktas!I’m not a flat ride person but I did Loke before all of the Pleasure Beach fans get to ride a Gyroswing, for the bragging rights.
Oh my gosh, it was unbelievably fun, that and Kraftverket are such fun rides, particularly how free Loke is and the range of forces without being too much. It’s brilliant and I can’t wait for Aviktas with the Irish Sea wind hitting my face!
It may be good for what it is, but it strikes me as a real Marmite ride. Generally people either like these kind of rides or they don’t. It will probably be good for the park, but I can’t see it bringing in a load of extra punters. I have a strong dislike of this type of ride, I suspect others will too.
Off topic i know, but why does BPB have a 2025 and a 2026 topic when other parks just have one topic that's continuous? The inconsistency is confusing me
Makes sense for Alton as this is primarily an Alton discussion forum. The main Alton Towers general discussion topic has yearly threads too but you're right, i don't think any other parks do. Perhaps these 2 are the most popular?
however I am wondering after 10 years with no new rides, the state of some rides, high cost of entry etc will people come back or is it too little too late
Yeah I was more talking about walk up price, for a family of 4 it is like £200 (or £140 if the parents buy the walk arround pass) (although for a holiday even with prebooking, at £35 it would total £140, potrentially a bit too much for an impulse spend)I don't think the entry cost (when booked in advance) is particularly high. Currently around £35. It's the £50 gate price at a park with a lot of potential walk up trade that is the issue.
£35 seems like reasonable value. £50 doesn't.
Don't blame the mods, blame me and dippy...we started them.Makes sense for Alton as this is primarily an Alton discussion forum.
The concept of having yearly threads doesnt even make sense as the 2025 one is locked. What if someone wanted to chat about 2025 at BPB?
It appears that the mods are not intending for discussion about those years in those threads but each one to be "that years discussion". I feel like each park should just have their own thread with no split years? So what is a thread gets super long? Each post has a date for people to find the start of each years discussion.
Sorry, rant over, don't want to hijack the discussion.
