I can't find anything officially other than on this fansite.

‘There was an incident on the Grand National in which Richard Sycamore required emergency treatment from the emergency services. We do wish Mr Sycamore the earliest recovery and we are in contact with his family. Our enquiries have not revealed any faults or problems with the ride which has carried almost 500,000 guests in 2014 without incident. We do now understand that Mr Sycamore had an underlying back condition’.

Some positives changes around the park at the Pleasure Beach!

Lovely new control cabin for Alice. There was also a bit of new theming on the outside parts of the ride. Not sure about the inside as I didn't go on. The Mouse has also seen a bit of a re-paint.

Also, the ugly Monorail station opposite W&G has now been completely removed, opening up a grand view from that terrace out towards the Big One and the Irish Sea. Unfortunately, all the track has been left in place, apparently because it carries all the electricity for the park. They should at least make an effort to remove it in the areas where it's most visually offensive, such as Nick Land and around the Casino.

Wish there was a good photo of how that whole area looks now. Surely they're thinking of trashing the Grand Prix and opening up a huge new space for a coaster? God damn, I wish Mack would just help out a park in need and give them a Helix at cost price.

Unfortunately, that's the good news over. The operations on Saturday were nothing short of abysmal. One train on Infusion with what looked like a ninety-minute queue. One train each side on the Nash with a 30-minute queue. One train on the Big One with an hour's queue. At least Dipper - always the workhorse - was running two as per usual and Steeplechase had all three sides on.

Ninety minute queue (to the top of the stairs) for Infusion on one train... poor show Blackpool, poor show...
 
I know purple Nash train is not ready atm, but Infusion second train may not be ready as well?
 
I get a bit sick and tired of the way BPB keep using wind as an excuse for running less trains. On PMBO they have one 'fast' train and two 'slow' ones. On windy days they seem to think it's fine to just use the fast one but there are ways of changing this. There are ways in which the slower trains could be weighed down and, let's be honest, if the park was still pay per ride like it used to be, they wouldn't dream of ever running major coasters on one train with a massive queue, sadly this is now often the norm at Blackpool. When I went on opening day PMBO was the only coaster to be running two trains.
 
It would have needed a hell of a lot of weight. Tbh, edit the brakes and software and make all the trains 'fast' and run 2 or hopefully 3
 
The best option would be to add trims just before the MCBR and only have fast trains. It would always be able to run 2 and the ride experience would be much better, but it would be quite an expensive fix.

For anyone interested, I believe it's the Nickelodeon Circus Bounce box from last year. Bit of a strange move with the Alice box getting a small refurb last year with a keyhole graphic, but nonetheless very Disneyesque.
 
Why does PMBO even run slow and fast trains anyway? I've never understood this. Like you say, make them all fast and make similar software updates to Stealth which takes the average weight of the past few trains.

The problem they claim to have is that the slow trains do not have sufficient momentum to get round in the wind. They can brake/control the 'fast' trains down on a hot day with no wind without issue.
 
There must be a stopping issue, or all trains would be fast. I am lead to believe the ride shuts down due to over speed problems
