I can't imagine how many pages of anger will arise if Merlin ever remove Nemmie!

I'm not sure where you mean? Would that be close to the cable car station at Loki's? Anyone have any pictures of these stations? Before the Casino station there was the North Station, which is the black building next to the Globe theatre!
I can remember before wristbands there were many different ways to enter the park.
I would imagine that when that day comes Alton Towers will give the old girl the send off she deserves.I can't imagine how many pages of anger will arise if Merlin ever remove Nemmie!
No-one expects rides to last forever but the way this was destroyed with no warning came as a shock to all of us.
Maybe it's time to speak to English Heritage and try to get Nemmie listed while she's still safe, insurable and profitable?
I hope I'm long gone when she is removed!

To be honest, i'd be more annoyed if they removed Alice or Flying Machines (two of the oldest rides in the park), especially with no prior warning.

Flying Machines yes, Alice not so much.To be honest, i'd be more annoyed if they removed Alice or Flying Machines (two of the oldest rides in the park), especially with no prior warning.
There's older rides at the park than Alice still operating.
Alice is about the same age as the recently deceased mouse.

I would want to lose any more classics really, I enjoy Alice as it's the one dark ride after Trauma Towers that has never let me down with the props/ effects .Flying Machines yes, Alice not so much.

That's the issue isn't it. There's three (maybe even 4 or 5 if you count Impossible) rather vulnerable looking dark rides all together in that area.I would want to lose any more classics really, I enjoy Alice as it's the one dark ride after Trauma Towers that has never let me down with the props/ effects .
In a country that doesn't seem to like building proper dark rides anymore it would be a crying shame to lose more without a modern replacement.

I can name at least 2 things that are safe....I firmly believe that nothing in the park is safe now, listed or not.

I would hate to see Ghost Train, Alice or River Caves go, and I don't think they'll be going anywhere anytime soon, but seriously, Impossible is a waste of space

Impossible is a steaming, turgid pile of bison dung !

Impossible is guaranteed to become a high end champagne bar with viewing balcony to watch the world famous fountains
