[/SARC] Scary wasn't it! [SARC]On the subject of food at Chessington, we visited recently and saw that the Vampire burger meal was £20!!

They will probably need to do something with Vampire pretty soon, either a re track or replacement. It's a major ride at the park and they will need to get it right. Especially given that they don't really have much room to expand the park.
I do wonder how feasible it will be to retrack the ride in the style of Velociraptor at Paultons Park as that's Vekoma isn't it?
Might be a bit too radical and different I suspect.
Do you mean Flight Of The Pterosaur, as in a Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster?

yes, this is probably a big factor, vampire was one of the rollercoasters that started the uk theme park experience we have today, so far nemesis seems to be sucsessfull but is is only 1 week in.I think all eyes will be on Nemesis when it comes to making a decision on whether to retrack Vampire.
Alton Towers have shown the impact you can have reopening a ride that millions of people have been riding for 30 years. If it is seen as a financial success then it will help the case for similar treatment for Vampire.
I can't seem them retrcking Vampire.
I can see it being closed and left SBNO for years until the whole park dies, and the land is sold off for housing.
That's actually a really good idea. Not sure Merlin will want to spend that kind of money but it would suite the time an layout pretty well. My only concern would the height restrictions on the ride.If Merlin really wanted to commit then replacing the ride system with a new Vekoma flying coaster would be perfect. The woods are already an immersive environment and it means they can keep the iconic Transalvani theme the land is known for.
My only concern is that would take some serious money to do well, and they'd need to tread careful to convince planning that it would be a very similar (but hopefully quiter) replacement.
