Chessington World of Adventures Resort

I am really curious about this ride A, there is no side profile, but what ride has the seats in a similar position like shown?1734976679391.png
edit found a side profile, was looking at the wrong image, still curious as to what it could be, a break dance?:

On another forum, it's been suggested that it's a Zierer Drifter however that's aimed at families as a whole rather than pre-schoolers.

Post in thread 'Chessington World of Adventures holding public consultation regarding “current proposals and new developments” - potential new attraction?' https://coasterforce.com/forums/thr...”-potential-new-attraction.47131/post-1181742

this is the problem, a lot of the style of rides I can think of are family.

I don't think that sudgestion is correct, looking at the scale it looks like Ride A is about 19m ground diameter, but zierer sudeggts a 21m ground diameter (this may be some foundation stuff, but I imagine it is more based off of clerance etc.

That is exactly my thought, I do have a theory - could it be a like for like Elmer's Flying Jumbos replacement considering that ride is either at or coming up to end of life? 🤔

could make sense, I would think a few of the rides could be removed i think it would improve the place as I find that area can feel like an amusement park with rides thrown in every place and not much theming, if they are able to make a new themed space in those areas with the quality of some of the recent work could be really good

I’d be interested to see if Alton’s 2026 coaster is a replica. Joint deal perhaps?

I’d hope not seeing as it’s. A very similar layout to Octo
I think Towers coaster will be aimed at a slightly higher age range than this will be aimed at.

I do wonder what IP this area will be, as the whole of Chessington is basically now an IP land. I have seen a few people suggest Paw Patrol online.

Paw Patrol is part of Nickelodeon so Blackpool might have some exclusivity there?

With Blackpool doing meet and greets with Paw Patrol characters, I'd say Paw Patrol is a no go for Chessington.

My first thought was Bluey but that may possibly be the Towers 2026 project instead.

I think a lot of parents are dreading the announcement potentially turning out to be umm... Cocomelon 😱

Thankfully my kids have grown out of it but a toss up between Cocomelon and Bing would have no winners.

On the plus side, at least whatever they do will mean that area of the park has a cohesive atmosphere.

found some side elevations for the ride A, it dose look like one of those drift rides:

edit also a 3d view:

found the planning permission (https://publicaccess.kingston.gov.u...s.do?activeTab=documents&keyVal=SONBHENHL8P00)
and under the design and access statment part 1 they list the rides, the picture they use appears to be from zamperla demolition derby (https://www.zamperla.com/product/demolition-derby2-turntables) it could be that with some sort of tall tower in the center (an image in zamperla shows the ride with a show piece in the center), I am unsure if it matches the rail things sticking up (maybe they home and the bars hold it???)

Did the Christmas Village yesterday and have to say we were not overly impressed. Joined the back of the queue at our alloted time and it took around 35-40 minutes to get to the front. They gave out silent disco headsets which is pretty much an admission that they knew they would be overbooking and they queue would be long. By the time we got to the front of the queue we could see that it was probably double the length than when we joined.

Went to see Santa then off to Enchanted Hollow which was supposed to be a toy workshop, but you pretty much walk straight through to the end where the kids get a stuffed toy, but looks like they had run out of the Christmas themed toys you are meant to get as we just got what looked like a random stuffed toy from one of their shops.

Last year you did Santa, then the workshop to get the gift which was setup in part of Smokehouse, then you went to Enchanted Hollow for an interactive walkthrough with characters and they gave everyone various bars of chocolate as you made your way through. Seems there have been cutbacks this year, which I suppose really shouldn't be much of a surprise.

Not only did the adults get bugger all in the Christmas Village, we didn't even get a gingerbread man where they were giving them out near the sea life - kids only. I don't really eat them, but it's the principle :D.

I mean. You'd hope that the parks would have a number of projects in mind for the future.

Even if they don't get the final green light or past the initial planning point.

Again, going "oh the park has multiple projects planned in the future" isn't exactly news.
