Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Speaking of things falling to bits I wonder if they have fixed the polystyrene snake pot in the queue for Mamba Strike this year. Looked great last year with the bit of sacking draped across the hole that had been made.

Yes, people shouldn't damage and so on but they do; the amount of queue line fence grafitti in every park ever attests to this.

Quick question, at the end of last season I got given this after Fury went down, it never reopened, so can it be used this season? It doesn't have a date or anything on it

It doesn't matter what we say on this thread, the ultimate decision in whether to honour it will be in the hands of the ride host. I wouldn't want to say definitively either way.

If they are going to give it to you blank it would seem rasonable to me to put the dates you want to use it in that box!

What’s the gripe, I think that looks really cool! Great to see them updating it after all this time.

The level of investment at Chessington at the same time other Merlin parks are cutting left right and centre is very interesting,

Minecraft is potentially the single biggest investment ever at a theme park in the UK.

I would argue they have pumped just as much, if not more money into Alton Towers over these last few years, a huge amount in fact. Skyride, Nemesis, Nemesis Sub Terra, Toxicator, Curse of Alton Manor and Hex have all recieved substantial money.

The difference is, Alton have spent huge amounts of money on refurbishing major attractions, but the money has still been spent, and lots of it.

That’s multiple investments over a period, I specifically said Minecraft which is a single themed land investment.

Otherwise we could include Jumanji, Scorpion Express project etc and the comparison becomes arbitrary.

No, what you actually said was, and I quote, "The level of investment at Chessington at the same time other Merlin parks are cutting left right and centre is very interesting,".

There was no mention of single / multiple investments, or Minecraft there. You simple stated that it was interesting investments were being cut at other parks when Chessington was getting high levels of investment.

I simply pointed out that was not the case and told you why.

Come on, mate, I corrected you on something I thought was false, you then go and try to move the goal posts to try mold what you said.
