I don't think Vampire is the right ride for a Julia Donaldson retheme - I'd say it would be more a conventional junior coaster such as Project Play's one would be more suitable.
I'd also say there would be an uproar if they changed Vampire to such a theme.
It's like changing Nemesis to let's say Mr Tumble's Canyon Tumbler or Vicky Pollard's Yeah But No But Twister![]()
There was uproar when they changed Nemesis' track colour to black.
Vamps has never been the most heavily themed attraction. And most of the external themeing has vanished over the years (or was nicked from Terror Tomb).
I dunno, losing the theme wouldn't be the biggest disaster to me. It's been very out of place ever since the area leant into Gruffalo more. Anything here is better off relating to trains, noise reduction and making a new RAP queue.
Not sure why a family coaster having a theme to a kids book is that surprising, given the 1.1m restriction allowing for 4 year olds to go on it.

Most of what was originally installed was lost years ago, and it was a loss. Now it could easily be improved upon.
Another new set of trains on a ride of Vampire's age wouldn't be completely unprecedented - Python at Efteling which is less than 10 years older is now on its fourth set of trains, from 3 different manufacturers. Admittedly one of those was Kumbak but the point still stands.

That’s because Arrow Dynamics went bankrupt; it’s hard and expensive to find new parts after that. Vekoma is still in business, so I expect their trains will last a lot longerThe Vampire og trains only lasted 10 years themselves
A business called Smart CI Group Ltd have posted some pictures on LinkedIn of some new theming they've made for Vampire. There are some upright coffin in front of it that people can stand in for a photo opportunity. I think that confirms that they're not changing the theme, although I wasn't expecting them to.

Thanks. Yes, that's pretty much the same thing that I saw on LinkedIn. They've lost the photo opportunity in Wild Asia that had the giant backpack with the kitchen sink, so it's good that they've added something similar in a different area of the park.

Wipeout is also on 3rd from 3rd manufacturer (Arrow, Vekoma and now Sunkid)
Current trains are knocking on a bit. Some nice modern Vekoma trains would be nice, depending on gauging issues.

Just been watching this recent walk through of Tomb Blaster and I was amazed to see that not only do some old theming from Terror Tomb like the sarcophagus lid that closes on Abdab is just lying there hidden away but also there are even some theming of 5th Dimension hidden away in some corners which is quite amazing to see that some of that ride still survive.
Also, is there a story that the attraction is actually haunted allegedly from a working who died in 1986?
