Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Took me longer to pluck up the courage to go on the Black Hole despite going on the Beast a year or two prior.

The mystery of not knowing what the ride actually is can sometimes be more intimidating to kids.
Aye, being a non soundproof tent with every scream emitting from the tent only added to the fear factor of adding to the mystery of what was in there.

Honestly, pre Internet days for theme parks were magical as there was always that mystery and maybe that's why many lament the magic being gone at Towers as everyone seems to know what's going on, it's exactly like knowing the 'business' of wrestling before the Internet too.

Visited over the weekend and the new shows were on, one in Adventure Point and one on the Mane Stage. Both shows are OK, seen better but also seen worse. Completely new singers and dancers, which is a shame as we got to know some of the previous ones quite well as we watched the shows a lot (our boy really likes to watch them). One noticeable thing was that it was the same people doing both shows whereas previously there would be different people for each of the shows - a cost saving I suppose.

One other massive change that we noticed is that Gruffalo Crumble effect is working again on the Gruffalo ride! :tearsofjoy: I am not even sure how long that hasn't been working for.
