Well they would need to remove the lower part of the tower as this is built into the foundations.I doubt they would remove the foundations, no reason too until it effects build something else there. Most likely, just remove what ever top surface they need to be able to re-landscape the area.
Just think, in 1000's of year to come, archaeologist will dig them up for them.

I would suspect the lowest part of the tower is bolted onto the foundations via some sort of base-plate. The concrete foundations stay behind. In general you don’t bury structure into a foundation for most metal structures as you can’t then crack assess that part of the structure.

Be sad to see Poccy finally go and it will leave a huge huge gap in the ride lineup which is already thread bare as it is.
Unless they have some serious budget to expand the park in the very near future they'd be better leaving it operating assuming nobody buys it.

Yep I don't think it should go until they have a new coaster under construction. It doesn't need to be a huge thrill coaster, a 1.2m restriction is fine. But just more thrill rides and more that isn't Thomas is needed. Paulton has shown what can be done over the last 10 years adding several new family thrill coasters.

Exactly this, also, with a metal tower being built into the foundation, as the metal expanded on warmer days, it would have nowhere to expand causing cracking in the concrete foundations, as the steel would still expand, over hell or high water.
IIRC there are huge metal flanges built inside the tower, which is then used a means to bolt the tower to ground. The bolts and flange are fairly sizable, they need to be to cope with the huge sheering forces that wind would place upon the structure. It is for this reason they are placed inside the tower rather than out. The outside of the tower has no room for them, not with all the equipment in close proximity to the tower that is required to hold the vehicles. As can be seen in the following two photos taken in early February 2000 - unfortunately I not have a photo from inside the tower showing the flange. I have tripped up one of the huge bolts though, I know it is there.

For the rumours there will be no more attractions added for Adventure Cove with a grass area laid for picnics.

The markers on the ground by the fish and chips shop is rumoured for another small entrance plaza to match the other entrance.
Can see Terence been removed from the park as its not operated since the start of Feb 2020 so the flood may have done more damage as the storage building backs on to the lake and was flooded.
All work currently is focused on around the castle of dreams getting it ready for the Christmas event.

Out of interest, is it known when Drayton Manor will likely open for the 2022 season?
I only ask because I have a Your Future Plan week (University of Gloucestershire’s name for a reading week) between 14th & 18th March 2022, so if the park is open by then and I haven’t got too much work to do, I might well consider taking my solo trip during that week, to kick off my 2022 season!

I did wonder whether it might be earlier, as I know Alton Towers’ is the 19th (the Saturday of that week), and Drayton often opens midweek. So I was wondering if my week off might just be late enough for the park to be open…

Not surprising as we know it's been up for sale for ages. I wonder if it's been sold or whether it's going to another Looping Park?
It's also good to see it says new developments for 2022 which confirms something is being added next year. I'm not sure whether it will be another 'wave' of adventure cove or perhaps something to replace pandemonium but I suppose we'll find out relatively soon.

I'm not sure how to feel about this, I remember Pandemonium being quite uncomfortable (perhaps just because I'm very tall) so I would like to see them put in something more modern, however Drayton are clearly trying to leave the thrill-seeker market so I would be surprised if they replace it with anything of it's scale.
Yes I think your right it is definitely a concern that it gets replaced by something not worthy of it's removal (like the big wheel a few years ago). I hope, even if it is for families, that it has some level of thrill. In my opinion Drayton Manor can be a park to cater to both audiences. Something it's done well for a long time with rides like shockwave and apocalypse alongside Thomas Land.
Sorry for double posting but I didn't see @Matt N 's post before posting my post above. I have also heard this although it does seem like a very loose rumour. I do think it could work as something unique to the country. I heard that for that to happen they also wanted to remove apocalypse. Could a 4D free spin fit in just pandemonium's space or would something else have to go around it?

It’s worth noting that the park is probably far less cash-strapped now than it was when the Big Wheel was removed; Looping Group have shown very strong intentions with Drayton thus far, so I see no reason why Pandemonium’s replacement won’t do it justice, personally!
I think it possibly could, especially if they opted for the new smaller model! Tumbili at Kings Dominion, a recently announced example of the smaller model, replaced The Crypt, a Huss Top Spin, and surely Pandemonium’s footprint can’t have been any smaller than that of your average Top Spin?

Bear in mind that there are two sizes for the 4D Freespin. Drayton could go for the smaller version if there's not enough space for the larger one. The smaller one would be a bit less intense as well.
The free spin rumour was certainly just a rumour and people people two and two together. It started when someone claimed that as part of the 5 year investment plan a ride like a compact coaster they described as being like a Batman themed ride in america was coming to Drayton. Now that part was just a rumour and for all we know completely made up, then the free spin came from that due to there being Batman themed freespin coasters. while would be a unique coaster and very marketable there is prob better options for the park such as a more family thrill coaster. Something like one of the new vekoma inverted coasters like was added to tripsdrill in Germany would suit the park better.

Out of interest, wouldn't we probably have seen planning permission filed by now if an S&S Free Spin was being built? Or is Drayton not as affected by planning restrictions as others in Britain?
Interestingly, I've now heard another rumour that Drayton has purchased a 3-ride package of some sort from Zamperla.
