Drayton Manor Park

,,,and the million pound fine didn't get paid in the end, did it?
When Drayton Manor Park ltd went into Administration they owed 20 million. The administrations sold the park to the looping group for 15 million.
NatWest got 71-75% of there money back
With 25% going to everyone else they owed money to.
So there was no money left to pay the fine and on the 7th May last year the company was no more.

I saw 10 pages to catch up on and thought how exciting, must be some news on the new coaster.

But no, a tiny flume has opened and a small piece of fiberglass out of place. Yay.
With the MD standing round the ride. I asked her about the new area/coaster and now the 15th Birthday celebration has ended and the new ride is open. A new teaser video with be out soon but she did say this new ride/area will make up for the loss of Apocalypse and Pandemonium and that’s a big statement to say.

I’m gonna be honest and say I did find the teaser videos for adventure cove and vikings a bit tacky in my opinion, hopefully this isn’t the case for the new coaster .
Well they did a video teaser video in Feb for the 2023 new attraction and then did nothing to last Monday with an announcement at 10am the following day and then announced the new ride was opening on Saturday.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the same. I'm not a huge fan of Loopings marketing for the park as most of the adverts feels like just slow motion shots with the logo edited in.

Drayton Manor used to have some great marketing back in the day, such as the ones listed below.

Heck, even Excaliburs advert to an extent, as cheesy as it was.

Then it all went to this for promoting new rides and areas, which feels a bit cheap personally, especially with the use of stock sound effects in the vikings advert.

It all feels like a badly planned in-house project . Maybe a 3rd party team is the answer.

The way that this new coaster is marketed needs to be built and hyped up well , or if the coaster isn’t up to “ one of the best in the uk”, it’ll just be forgotten.

Well the Bryan’s last used a company called Home to film the 2 adverts that features Thomas land in 1 and the rest of the park in the other.
I know the 2021 advert of the park was done by a couple of members of the your experience guide as me and my daughter is in a video a couple of times.

You are comparing over 20 year old adverts designed to be shown on TV with newer YouTube videos designed to be put out in social media. The way places advertise to people has changed a lot in the last few years.

I couldn't find the Telly version of the adverts. I remember seeing very similar style advert for both Adventure Cove and Vikings but obviously cut down for the 30 second span with the same style of editing, and look just as cheap as the regular adverts that were on YouTube.

The longer the advert the more money it costs to air so 30 secs to show highlights of rides is enough. They give u a link to the website so u can check anything else out about the park.
Drayton really know if they want to really get a event, new area/ride out there without paying for it is invite vloggers as it’s a win/win for both parties.
