...or a nice coaster in a shed, which has been mentioned a few times over the years.
But basically anything other than a cramped concrete zoo stuck in the nineteen seventies.
If they want animals, keep them in good, large landscaped environments...a large petting farm would be far better.

Personally I think Zoos in theme parks are a thing of the past. Should all be scrapped.

I’m not completely against zoos in principle, but every time I go in Drayton’s I just feel sad for the poor animals in those conditions.
Agree with what was said above. I do think they should get rid. Move the animals to WMSP where they have space and better facilities.

If you look at the enclosures created for the lions/tigers from chessington at Jimmy's wildlife park, it is clear that they will have a far better quality of life where they are now. This isn't to say that chessington did anything substandard, but shoe horning rides around enclosures and vica versa just doesn't seem fair nowadays to any animal. Zoos have a place, but need so much space... and the modern zoo standards are much more stringent than a few years ago.
It literally been given a bigger budget speaking to one of the keepers and they are refurbishing the enclosures. If modern zoo standards are so much more stringent...why does the Drayton zoo still exist?
Perhaps because they don't come in until 2027.
And maybe that is when their third rate zoo will actually close.
I do think Drayton Manor Zoo enclosures are small but they are addressing this

It’s not a random staff member, it’s Steve the Janitor

Grandfather rights exist. That's a reason too.

Not for my lawn weedkiller they don't anymore!
Don't remember a lighter or petrol being outlawed.
Conveniently also a fix for some of the rubbish Drayton have.
Watching one of their adverts there is clearly a lion in it. The ad was from the 90'sIf they did, in a zoo of such size, I am very glad they have gone.
