It’s a shame the track hasn’t been repainted, as even in the promo video it looks really dirty and old.

That video really doesn’t say to me that this is a nice new smooth ride. Obviously we know it isn’t a new ride but I’m just wondering how it’s going to be running and whether it might have a bit of a rattle to it.

If anyone is planning a trip to Drayton on a weekday (Mon, Thu, Fri) before the 24th May, Wowcher have got a deal on for 2 tickets for £30.49 after booking fees: https://www.wowcher.co.uk/deal/birm...parks-zoos/e/drayton-manor-theme-park-tickets
Sensible idea. Good way to fill the park up on otherwise quiet days before the new coaster opens.

The project still looks way way off?
I was thinking that. A lot of details we still don’t know. Could this actually be a next season opening?

I took some pictures and videos of the wave yesterday

It won’t let me add videos on here but it does sound squeaky after the straight part. It was testing roughly 2-3 times a hour yesterday and then 1 after another when the park had closed.
They hope to have it open for the start of the May bank holiday weekend.
The new coaster been pushed back again and it’s looking mid July now to open.

I would rather it open next year and spent time on the little details instead of doing a rushed merlin jobbyI was thinking that. A lot of details we still don’t know. Could this actually be a next season opening?

I did think they may have moved away from the pirate theme as the looping have added there own theme areas but can understand why they thinking of keeping the pirate theme as they got the Bounty nearby and the arcades can easily be re-themed to go aside the Jolly Buccaneer, Dodgems and a new dark ride in the pirate adventure building.
Also I do think the toilets will be used again as they made a direction sign for it.

I wonder if this sign will be the queue line entrance

The complete lack of toilet provision at Drayton Manor is incredibly inconvenient and frustrating, quite the metaphor for the park really.
