Drayton Manor Park

Have they actually made it any good will be the key one. Still the worst madhouse I've done and I have done some rubbish ones.
Last time I did The Haunting all the effects were working in the queue and pre show made it so much better

The Madhouse is where the work is mainly needed.

I was speaking to the ride ops on the haunting and they didn’t want to say what was planned for 2026 but they did say they plan to remove the top of the crypt as the effects on top hasn’t worked for years and it will help the ops see the guests better on the CCTV cameras. Also the trailer outside is near the end of its life. Underneath is all rusty and it’s been supported. Maybe could be seeing a new ride entrance for 2026.
They got to ask that as I don’t think I been on it since the latest version was added in 2018 and no one has left before the end.

I too love hearing "IS EVERYONE OK TO CONTINUE?!" repeatedly after every story beat. It's so immersive. Very atmospheric.
I think it's necessary seen many a time a kid burst into tears in that ride. Personally The Haunting should have either increased height or age restriction because being honest from a kids mind The Haunting can be pretty scary in particular the portrait scene in the 3rd Pre Show

Whilst true the exterior could also do with some work. The facade has been covered in ivy for at least two decades (with a good majority of it not visible anymore), the window frames and bannisters are in that bad condition that the windows are falling out of place, some frames are just simply gone. The lampposts outside are supposed to be all fully assembled (there are 6 total) with only 2 left with a full set, these have been going missing since the end of 2023.

It’s definitely due a spooky/abandoned “coal mine” theme overlay, the theme is dated and doesn’t suit the area or there target market anymore.

The paranormal activity tin shed needs to go ASAP.

Alongside this hopefully they can focus on opening back up the 4D cinema for 2026, finishing off the interior Q line for Accelerator or whatever it’s called now? As well as looking at opening up the a restaurant in the saloon + updating the street lighting in the area as doesn’t match the theme. There was also talks to relocate the flying boat ride to the Vikings area? A nice mini drop tower would fit there better to a dynamite theme.
