Efteling: General Discussion

It does look a tad slow but it's only a fan re-creation from plans and chances are some of it is guess work as the plans we have seen haven't been overly clear. Things won't quite be exactly right in the design meaning that the speed won't be totally accurate.

So, thought i would poke my head up to share something I recently discovered.
Either this is an existing piece of theming somewhere, or will pop up soon, if anyone has any light on this feel free to correct me.
Anyway, I love 3D art, and am a member of the training website "Digital Tutors", But I came across this tutorial while browsing.
http://www.digitaltutors.com/tutorial/887-Modeling-a-Character-for-3D-Printing-in-ZBrush
It's a tutorial to create a fantasy troll for 3D printing.
This tutorial was published on 7 Jan 2013, what's interesting is the description.
"In this tutorial we will sculpt and prepare a digital model for 3D printing. Throughout these lessons we will create a character that will eventually be milled out of polystyrene at over 40 feet tall for a theme park in Holland. We will cover all of the conceptual stages and prepare a high resolution version for a video rotation. Then we will process the ZTool and convert it to a known 3D printable format."
I assumed it would be for Efteling, I think the largest park in Holland since a 40 feet statue of a detailed troll must be costly, it also fits the fairy tale theme of the park.
he does say it's for "a photo opportunity" in the park, but I thought that was quite a generic statement, and a 40 ft high statue is hardly a good pose next to me size!
What i'm really asking is, does anyone know anything about this? Would love to know more!
Could it even be theming for the new ride?
I really hope I haven't ruined anyone's job by posting this.

Some Efteling news
Today, Fata Morgana reopened after it closed for refurbishments several weeks ago. Most notable differences are that there is a projection added at the beginning of the ride, there are new movements and effects for the wizards and the 'tilting chamber' now tilts to a much higher degree. The lighting and sound have also been altered. The next phase will involve the replacement of all the boats. A very dark onride by Eftelwesley:
Second, test for a seemingly new Aquanura show have started:
Third, Efteling launched their dive coaster making off channel on YouTube yesterday with a teaser:
Other refurbishment news: the refurbishments of the roof of the entrance building will last for several months. Villa Volta will be closed for interior refurbishments the next couple of weeks.
Looopings also started to spread the 'rumor', based on some comments by Efteling CEO, that the ugly duckling could be coming to the Fairytale forest.

Thanks for the invaluable contribution, Corine!
Looopings and Vijfzintuigen have their own stories about the Fata Morgana changes, which are well worth reading.
In other Efteling news, the park have added a new walkabout character to the Fairytale Forest. It seems like it's a character in a new book produced by Efteling, written by a Dutch princess. His name is Sprookjessprokkelaar. Here's a video of the princess meeting the new puppet:
Winter Efteling is also seeing some improvements with the addition of elaborate metal fire pits for the bonfires.
