It's a very good show, It's a cross between a theme park show and Cirque du Soleil. Features a lot of ride music and elements from the park.

It's not for everyone, but if you like that sort of thing I think it's meant to be a good example of one. I've never bothered with it because to my mind a full day in the park is best followed up by a chilled out dinner and a few drinks! And I'd always rather maximise my time in the park than have to leave early for an early tea.

I took a punt on Caro during the second to last time I was at Efteling. I always wanted to visit the Theatre but never got to see their previous ride-to-stage adaptations and, as that time I was visiting with a newbie, I had to seize the chance.
It's a fun 'theatre in the round' experience following the life of a boy who travels the world, falls in love, yadda yadda guided by Mr. and Mrs. Time. Various impressive stage effects, scenery, puppetry etc ensue throughout, but not to the story's detriment. Overall, I'd pay to see Caro again if I could and I'd take it as an evening show over Aquanura anytime!

Danse Macabre at Efteling is the world's best new family attraction. The attraction won the Golden Ticket Award from the renowned American trade magazine Amusement Today. The prestigious award was presented in 22 categories, this year at the Carowinds amusement park on the American east coast. Was there this week for the first time. Had a brilliant time, although big shame that so much was closed. Baron, Villa Volta, Pagode, the kids monorail, the train, a section of Fairy Tale Forest all closed, and the water show also wasn’t running as they were setting up for the event shared above.
Is it normal for so much to be closed like this at Efteling? Still had a great time regardless, with almost everything being walk-on on Wednesday. Managed to avoid all spoilers for Danse Macabre and it totally blew me away. Incredible ride. Let’s have one in the Towers or Dark Forest please!

Efteling is open 365 days so they typically schedule maintenance during the quietest periods. Scheduled ride closures are advertised on the website approximately 6 months in advance:
