Thanks for this! I watched a few videos and can barely make out a humanoid shape being lit up there. At least when I was there, it just looked like it was highlighting some linoleum floor for no reason. According to some descriptions I found It's supposed to be Hugo. The pre-show didn't really make it clear why suddenly the room was spinning, though, just that he's cursed.I'm certain Villa Volta did have mannequins behind the two light up squares in the floor at some point.
Shows how lucky we are to have Hex really.
Such great music on this ride, and tbh in Efteling in general.
Some other quick thoughts on rides/Shows:
- Raveleijn was great, though I didn't realise until yesterday there is apparently headsets you can ask for that provides translations?
- Baron 1898 and its whole area was closed, looking at it now it looks like the maintenance has overrun and should hopefully reopen tomorrow (too late for me though). I noticed them mostly doing cosmetic fixes/improvements.
- Joris en de Draak has terrible ride photos if you are on the last row (at least on one side)
- Symbolica was great, though unclear messaging about the "tours". It usually ended up with lots of people waiting for one, and much less so for another.
- Can't get Carnaval Festival's music out of my head
- CARO was great, it unfortunately had a technical issue towards the end of the "pre-show" where they had to fix/replace one of the spotlights but after 25 minutes the show was resumed.
- Loved the Danse Macabre actors/staff in that area. All seemed to be enjoying themselves. The area is so great in the dark.
- Aquanura was great. We watched it on the Fata Morgana side but caught a bit of it on the entrance side, which seemed closer/better, albeit busier.
- So many turntables.
