Emerald Park (Formerly Tayto Park), Dublin: General Discussion

I am in Dublin on the 19th / 20th June for my 30th. How far from the city centre is this place? If its open may pop along

The park appears to be about a half an hour drive from Dublin city centre.

This reminds me of Wodan : Relatively high first drop, everything else quite low to the ground...so lots of speed throughout the ride ! :)
 
Tayto Park have announced on Facebook that the woodie will be opening on June 5th. Anyone fancy a trip to Dublin over the next couple of weeks? :p
 
From an aesthetic point of view, it's safe to say Ireland have started off well when it comes to coasters! Hopefully the actual ride should be great as well :)

I often find when parks do "construction updates" it tends to be pictures from a few weeks previously so chances are the site looks a lot better than that now. I know when Oakwood opened Neverland a lot of their Developers Diary photos were 2-4 weeks old

Got all my Dublin/Ashford hotels now booked! Bus Eireann timetable printed off and highlighted, just need to sort out the flight times with some others (for the return leg) and book those in the next week. Friday 31st July, I'll be there! ;)

Opens on Friday yet still no signs of testing. Of course it could have been happening overnight; you'd think it would have been noticed by someone somehwere if there had been any during the day.
