Energylandia (Poland): General Discussion

Is this park attempting to reach 20 coasters before SFMM does or something? They must have added or announced at least 10 coasters in the last 3 years.

On a serious note, is the RMC going to be a wooden coaster or a ground-up steel hybrid?
I assume this will be the first from the ground up I-Box track RMC, from what I've heard.

If it is going to be a ground-up steel hybrid, then they've missed a trick not building the world's tallest woodie.

Energylandia are going on another announcing spree.
Firstly they announced that the Intamin Water Coaster which was supposed to open this season, will now open for the start of the 2018 season.
Also for next year will be a relaxation garden,

A stunt show, and

a water park.

For 2019/2020 they are building a hotel resort with a Venice theme.

They also announced that the Intamin hyper coaster, Hyperion, will have a space theme. Concept art of the trains and the ride queueline/station have been released.
The new 4 across hyper coaster trains featuring Taron style seating and restraints.

I just had a few thoughts about Hyperion. These raised a few questions, such as:
  • Is this using Intamin's old track design or Intamin's new track design?
  • I hope they are using the lap bars like Taron, because if they use the old-style hard OTSRs, then it will literally ruin this coaster. Rita & Colossus are both painful, vile rides. Cheetah Hunt's ride also rather resembled that of a shopping trolley (to a lesser extent than Rita and Colossus, however.) when I rode it in August 2016, with a strong moment of airtime after the figure 8 also ruined by the restraints. Basically, what I'm saying is Intamin's OTSRs are awful. They also are not very tall people-friendly, as my Dad is 6'6", and everything he rides with these restraints, he either gets kicked off of or gets really badly hurt by.
  • Is this going to be a stand-alone space themed attraction, or will it be part of a new space area at Energylandia?
Sorry to keep asking questions across so many different threads.

Thank you @Brad97! And thank YOU Energylandia, because that shade of blue is my very favourite colour! That is if the shade is like a navy/midnight blue, which I think it is from the picture.

Looks more black than blue in that photo but it could well be the light.

They have also shared a photo of the construction site:

:)

Oh, man! Why do parks seem to avoid navy blue as a colour so often?

Way to steal Cedar Point's thunder :p

Seriously though, this park is rapidly becoming one of the best parks for roller coasters in the world.

It's like the European Cedar Point or SFMM! On a side note, it seems like this and Ankapark in Turkey are having an arms race for the most creds in Europe!

:)

Not a criticism because I know it’s a hyper, but the straightness of this track is the exact opposite of Icon’s twisty-ness.

That may have something to do with the fact they are completely different rides and will offer totally different experiences.
