That's because there is just a field behind that building. Will said:That colour is terrible, it also just looks like you're going into a field where the heck is the park?
You go through the entrance, then behind that building is a train, and then that takes you to the theme park.
This of it as Alton Towers' monorail, although the entrance 'plaza'/turnstiles are at the entrance of the monorail.

The sad thing is, although it has always been an ugly corrugated shed it did look a lot better.
Damn Aspro with their horrible 'rebranding' and lack of any investment!
As you enter Oakwood there is a large field where the train leaves the entrance and circles around the field before going off to the park to the right.

Yep, it's a shame they went for a bright yellow colour scheme. Completely ruined it.
I believe it was a bright green before the yellow colour came along too.
It's been years since I've gone to Oakwood, they really need to do something to the park! It's only an hour away from my house, but even I do not see it worth visiting in its current state.

The whole park is one big bad trip. Pure drug induced evil all the way.Ian said:Efteling's scares me! There's something really dark and sinister about it!![]()
Gotta love those crazy Dutch!

I've always wondered what the tubes are for between the ticket kiosks at Towers.
Are they money chutes (don't know the technical name!) where cashiers send notes/coins up for collection, or just overhead wires?
Either way, it's the one thing I think that makes the entrance plaza look more dire than it should.

Pretty much the only highlight about staying on Tipidorf this April was waking up to this every morning:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2vtfDrcHeEQ
So many speakers with volume cranked up high across the entrance plaza. No wonder you can hear it in your tipi as if it were right next to you!
But another highlight has to be doing your morning stroll to the entrance whilst observing Silver Star testing! Simply magical.

Being a bit harsh to fairgrounds that, everyone knows fairgrounds have better entrances.
