I doubt it will be soon.
5pm and it’s still dead
Can’t see them doing a Friday event next year
Today has been very quiet but operations are absolutely spot on. Been very impressed with the efficiency of batching and dispatching.
Its been a really lovely visit for me so far. I’ve only ever done fireworks Saturdays which have always been synonymous for me with long long queues and the cold, today in contrast is like heaven!
hoping for a good display tonight with maybe some hints on what they will do for 40th anniversary (Prepare for the pin badges)
Maybe next year they will run fireworks during half term when people are not in work/school.
That’s an important point. They are a week later this year due to the extended Scarefest which I guess was extended to try and capture tail end of half term but it didn’t seem that busy on Sunday.
Friday of fireworks is always dead, lots turning up now though
Has anyone watched the show this evening? Reviews seem to be very good so far, with some calling it the best show they've done in years!
Supposedly 10,000 guests today. I've seen clips of the show. Plot kind of goes against everything done last year with now Sir Algeron having no clue what makes the park so special. There seems to be a greater emphasis on ride names being used with the finale using the 2015 2nd half imascore finale music. Oh and lasers are back.
The real question is, "is Fail Friday back"?
Really enjoyed it tonight, would say though I'd have preferred them to use their own orchestra scores than littering it with generic pop/rock/dance songs (as good as they are).
Great day overall on park with minimal queues throughout the day. Very glad I've decided to visit on the Friday. Hope everyone going tomorrow and Sunday has a great time.
It was our last day visiting the park for this season and it’s been an absolute blast.
It’s been a quiet day, which enabled us to get plenty of rides in.
The fireworks were spectacular, the best we’ve seen so far.
Looking forward to 2020.

Was a good show.
Had better in the past
Started off and though .. oh no this is gonna be so cheesy awful
But was ok.
Bit lacking in fireworks at the start I thought
Saved them all for the end
Not a huge selection of fireworks either seamed all same same throughout
And the ending .. it had two climatic endings .. very odd
Was towers street bar open again this year?
Are the fireworks dates usually announced this weekend or when the season times are announced? Trying to be super organised with accommodation!
This year the dates were not confirmed until mid way through the season and were not the originally announced last weekend on the calendar.
Absolutely brilliant firework display. Best I've ever seen by far. Not just world class, but largely world beating. Well done Alton Towers.
However, if you are going to mop the floor, those Hazard Warning Signs are bloody dangerous. Nearly tripped over one in the doorway to Towers Trading. I can't believe that our Health and Safety laws allow those things.
Ban Hazard Warning Signs Now Before Someone Gets Hurt!
What is really needed are warning signs to warn you of up coming hazard warning signs.
WARNING: Hazard warning sign ahead.
Nope. It was great.
Reports on Towers Street that there has been a delay opening X-sector with a fire visible. https://scontent.flhr2-2.fna.fbcdn....=3576e9bacaf58cd9f80e8be11aa102f6&oe=5E553AE0
