Flamingo Land: General Discussion

It looks strange seeing a track go up, where the paint is not shiny and new.
Are they likely to paint it before it opens, or is the 2nd hand look set to stay?
It's Mingo, 2nd hand look is absolutely staying.
Still, this is getting me to visit the place for the first time in 14 years.

Says a lot about our feelings on the UK theme park industry when we're excited for a new coaster at Flamingoland. Admittedly, it's a Colossus clone, but that's not the point here.I cant believe I'm actually starting to get a bit excited for this![]()

They've also started painting it grey, bottom middle of the picture, which looks naff. After seeing it in person, the red and yellow looked pretty good, was no more noticeable from outside the park than kumali and cliffhanger, and it added a bit of colour to flamingreyland

Unpopular opinion; I actually think I prefer the look of the grey and black colour scheme to the red and yellow one, so I think it'll look quite snazzy once it's fully complete!
Out of interest, when are we thinking Flamingo Land will announce a name for this ride?

Why would they repaint it once it's up though? That's surely the most difficult way to do it?
Perhaps the grey piece is just new, a replacement they deemed was necessary?
I agree, although I suppose it down prevent the new paintwork becoming damanged/chipping during erection of the coaster.

I'm guessing the grey piece is primer - the pieces of track that were missing - and will be painted to match the rest of it now.

Nah it's Mingo, they will infuriatingly be a slight different shade

No it'll be painted red and yellow. But both the red and yellow will be a different RAL ever so slightly to the existing track.
