Flat Rides: What would you like to see come to the park?

Correct me if I am wrong but they wouldn't need planning permission for the enterprise sites or dark forest as it is under some sort of general development thing?
That's correct, they'd essentially be able to plonk rides down on those sites without us knowing.

Which could still be what's happening? Unlikely but we never know 🤔

I honestly am not expecting anything more than relocated Monkey Swinger and Tuk Tuk Turmoil from Chessington however if that Huss deal is happening, I could be surprised 😯🙀

The truth is that Towers need more flat rides, if they had a couple more opening then people wouldn't complain

Although flat rides would help id argue they need more rides of any type. Preferably indoors.

Trackless dark ride
3D/4D Cinemas
Flying theatres
Indoor Boat ride
Shooter ride
Walkthrough attractions
Simulator rides
Indoor Coaster

All missing from the lineup currently, which the park could “reasonably” accommodate

The few flat rides the park has are aging out as well, apart from Heave Ho. Marauders is 38 years old this year for example.

Multiple new rides in a year makes little sense. We want more rides but the park will invest with what makes sense financially.

Early season and summer season to encourage repeat visits?

Given Merlin have fully adopted to AP route, it makes perfect sense

I'll give you 1 out of 8 and you'll have to wait at least 3 years, final offer.

I'm sure the park has three of those attractions sitting there being unused meaning 4D Cinema, Dungeons and Nickelodeon 🤔

Plus allegedly Project Horizon being one of those attractions, most likely a coaster.

I'd be pretty surprised if Nickelodeon Outta Control hadn't been gutted at some point in its 27 year closure. Although my gosling self loved the attraction, even I doubt that there'd be much salvageable from it that would be of any use now.

Nickelodeon is gutted, pretty sure the 4D cinema benches are rotted as well.

Benches were still there the last time I was in. The effects (leg ticklers and air systems) had been gutted for use in the mazes.

Nick is indeed a scenic workshop now - albeit still with all the murals painted on the walls haha.

I’ve already said to various people, I can see the Wave Swingers and dodgems from Chessington making they’re way up to Alton.

Seems like a sensible business idea if they’re not going to reuse them. Can’t imagine they’d get much for selling them either unless they just re-enter the fair circuit.

I can see the Wave Swinger in multiple locations but I’m unsure of the Dodgems. What do you think?
