I agree with that, it was the previous poster who asked for another cafe, which is something that is available in Forbidden Valley and Towers St.I would, but I'm fed up of eating bits of stale burger buns all day. So are my goosey cousins.
It's not that I'd like to see a healthy food outlet as such, it's more than I'd like like to see a food outlet without unhealthy options, if that makes sense?
I don't want dry hot dogs. I don't want beige chicken tenders and chips.
Give me some wraps, or burritos. Give me fresh sandwiches, or subs, on wholemeal or artisanal bread, with a decent portion of filling and maybe even, shock, mayo. Give me New York or Roman style pizza by the slice. Give me a rice box or pot. Give me fresh fruit. Give me a chicken salad etc...
I'm not asking for the wheel to be reinvented, and I'll happily pay a premium for quality. Just don't give me what is essentially McDonalds, KFC and Pizza Hut, or their impersonations.
Also why does the only outlet which will do "healthier" options have to be in Cbeebies land and not replicated anywhere else? It makes it uncomfortable for those without goslings.
They do, yes.I think Eastern Express do jackets?
Never knew that was there, where exactly was it?in the now disused indoor seating area in Mutiny Bay.

Every time I’ve been for the past few years, the actual indoor area of eastern express has been closed but the stalls outside serving jackets and baguettes have been open. It's still in use for Eastern Express, isn't it?
Although reopening towers street grill as a carvery buffet might be nice, what the park really needs right now is more fast food with indoor seating. I don’t think much more plated food is needed yet.The park is crying out for a carvery and buffet style restaurant where there’s a decent amount of choice so guests can decide if they want a healthy meal or a full on roast. Heck, separate the concepts out and have both in separate venues. Towers Street Carvery and The Captain’s Buffet in the now disused indoor seating area in Mutiny Bay.
I personally wouldn’t reduce the current fast food offering - the park just needs more choice and more indoor capacity.
Eating a shit burger on a park bench in November - which me and my family did this year - is just a bit dirty.
It’s fast food but good food in the sense it’s fast because it’s essentially a buffet and good because you get vegetables. A high throughput carvery restaurant is surely a no brainier. The only issue with situating it in towers street is that by lunch time, most people are deep within the park and towers street is naturally very quiet. Yes I’m aware I’m criticising my own plans here…Carvery would work well actually. I’d definitely go for that!
Slighy off topic, I went to Harry Potter studios last weekend, and guess who does the food. You got it our lovely friends Aramark.
What a shambles. Over priced, cold slapped together food that was nothing like the image.
How do these premium days out get away with this offering its beyond me. Its like we as a society have come to accept that a day out equals this shit. And pay through the nose for it.
They basically already offer a Wetherspoons style menu at Woodcutters. Most of the food at Wetherspoons is grilled (burgers, steaks, etc) or deep fried (chips, fish, crispy chicken), its only the curry and similar that is microwaved which makes up a small part of the menu. AT already has a grilled food menu at Woodcutters (and Rollercoaster really).I think the park really needs to look towards the British highstreet. Having a pub grub Spoons-style restaurant would be a no-brainer as most of its microwaved so it can achieve economy of scale, high margins, high turnover and quality meals. All things which are ideal for a theme park!
Chip shop is definitely the main thing missing now (as well as mexican). They used to do Greggs style sausage rolls and similar bakes at Corner Coffee, I assume they still do?Furthermore the park is missing a Greggs style bakery or a Chippy since the last one burnt down in 2015.
