This is really significant. I heard some stats on the Athletic podcast about ACL and hamstring injuries this season. They’re through the roof across and the big leagues, and the general consensus is that it’s a result of ‘21 Euros ‘22 WC and 24’ Euros meaning a load of players have ran themselves into the ground.Having greater control in games, which Klopp wouldn't allow. The less injuries that season show that.

Think Slot has tweaked things and built on the changes Klopp had brought in during 23/24.
Previously the 17-23 sides became based around Robbo and Trent getting forwards and the midfield three basically existed to win the ball and recycle it.
Possibly something too dependent due to Keita never kicking on and Thiago sadly loving an injury.
That rebuild which saw in 2023 the entire midfield overhauled with Mac Allister, Gravenberch, Szoboszlai, and Endo all rock up. Which is our usual starting midfield and Endo who has basically been our closer this season to use baseball parlance.
So now the full backs are more full backy so to speak, obviously Trent offers a lot with his passing and set pieces.
Now comes the hard work of them upgrading the squad and moving on players. Think getting Virgil and Mos contracts sorted was a big bonus, but succession planning for them will be needed.
Think we'll need a new left back, a right back (if Trent leaves), a centre back (can't see us letting Konate run his contract down), a defensive midfielder, and a striker.

What bugs me about this, Klopp and Pep have been warming about this for years. Just got told to stop moaning. You get paid millions, you can't be tired and over worked. Nobody else complains. And yet. Fergie was talking about this during his height at united. Too much international games. The season is too crammed. The Christmas schedule is ridiculous.
Even as a supporter. It's too much now.

Really impressive display from the Palace fans at the start of the game:

From: https://www.facebook.com/ultrascpfc/posts/pfbid08uaewafpgCUqhVGWXJdXLSSWvBxFDZq75fL7zpKVPxTHQBfsejyec5iR5eoHaHpnl
All funded by donations from Fans and the players. I understand over £10k has already been raised for the final.
I was worried going in to the match, we had lost to Newcastle 5-0, who has then got beat by Aston Villa 4-1. Our record had been great against Villa going in to the match.
Looking forward to the final, fingers crossed we can do it.

I’ve a soft spot for Palace thanks to Wrighty. Really hope they win it.Looking forward to the final, fingers crossed we can do it.
Absolutely delighted to see Liverpool win the league and thrilled for the members on here who were fortunate enough to be there.
Couldn’t help but feel emotional at the post match scenes, the YNWA, Slot singing Klopp’s name in a full circle moment to last season, finally doing the Klopp-style fist pumps after a season of mostly keeping his cool, I honestly think there’s no club quite like Liverpool FC

There's certainly no club with such an overhyped atmosphere at their ground, I'll give you that!I honestly think there’s no club quite like Liverpool FC
Liverpool clearly deserved to win the league this season, by far the best team. Meanwhile I've been subjected to watch some of the worst football I have ever seen (when I've been bothered to go that is). How we've gone from well run European contenders to a complete and utter mess of a club with no direction whatsoever is staggering. I fear years in the Championship (or worse) ahead.

Leicester! This has been the worst season I can ever remember as a fan going back some 20 years.
Ah yeh you guys have been pretty awful - appointing Nistelrooy was the worst move ever

Leicester can stay down. I've been to the king power once. And it was one of the most awful places I've visited as a supporter. The sheer amount of stone island knuckle draggers. Deciding to mock poverty, tragedy's and telling female supporters they wouldn't even be raped because they are Scouse.
IVe been to Leicester it's a nice place. The issue is the rest of Leicestershire it seems.

Unfortunately like most clubs these days, we have our fair minority of scum.Leicester can stay down. I've been to the king power once. One thing I have noticed going to home and away games over the past however many years is the regression in the attitude and behaviour of some fans. It's always a minority, but that minority has definitely been growing.
If you think Leicester is nice though you should visit rural Leicestershire, I can assure you it is far nicer!

Managed to get a ticket to see The Champs take on Arsenal on Sunday.
I'll be there to see the last two season champions. What an honour that will be........oh and I shall enjoy the guard of honour.
Got tickets for the cup final.
Hopefully my little one's 100% win attendance record will continue.
Nice one. Hope Palace win and the on the 25th we celebrate palace winning the Fa cup and is lifting the league. I do find Palace to be a sound club. Always sing about their side. Never tradgeady chant and have suffered Roy Hodgeson twice and survived.
