Footballers’ Wages

It’d be nice if some of this obscene money filtered down to those of us who help broadcast sport to the masses. Or the poor buggers who clean up after the “fans”.

Here lies the other big issue with football In this country.....

TV companies spending billions to put the sport on Tele. Hiding it behind expensive pay walls and placing games at daft times. Times that don't make sense.

"Let's put Liverpool in Brighton 12:30 Saturday morning!"

Newcastle v Southampton. Let's put it on a weekday evening.

The match going supporter is now paying the cost. Long trips at times when public transport is limited. Supporters having to take annual leave to simply watch a game of football. No thought at all made to the people at the grounds making the noise. We all sore how grim football is when no one was in the stands. So why don't we treat those of us who go with more respect.

Reduce ticket prices. (Your making the money from TV anyway)

Stop moving games around to suit the TV audience.

Stop the constant bombardment of betting companies giving me 2/1 odds on the sides winning a throw in.

Club merch. Have you seen the price of shirt these days? A new one every year. When I was younger, it was law that clubs could only change every other year. Not the case anymore. 3 new shirts every season at daft money. Liverpool even charge 2 prices. One for a shirt that's a bit like it. A more expensive price for one that is very like the match day shirt.

Football in this country needs to move with the times. Start by having a NFL red zone style streaming service. Every club game shown, even at 3pm at a price that's fair to all.

Reduce the ticket prices. £20 is plenty, (Germany is proving this point) and for the bigger sides, give better access to young local people. And while we are at it. Better ticketing systems that don't involve someone needing a ticket on their phone. This hasn't stopped the touting and is pissing off us match day supporters off because you think we all touts. And stop filling wembley and every final with corporate tickets.

Oh and pay the staff a decent wage.
