Future Merchandise Ideas

On my previous post, how about tasteful ride logo cuff links? I've actually considered making this a summer project, surly its just a case of adapting a pin badge.

There wouldn't be enough demand IMO. The sort of people that actually wear cufflinks aren't the type that would want to display theme park logos on the occasions that they are worn.

I'd love it if they sold some car stickers though

I doubt that Alton would think that their regular guests would buy Alton themed car stickers.
Who wouldn't want to turn up to a Halloween party as a Phalanx Controller?

I think that's even more niche than car park stickers! :p I know that several other parks do them such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach and (I think) Lightwater Valley.

Did someone say car stickers?

Had this in my car for a few weeks now. Alton Towers used to sell car stickers back in the 90s and early 00s. :)

I suppose, I only thought of it because I ware a suit every day at school and ware cuff links. I was just thinking because it falls into the novelty gift category, I mean you see some really strange cuff link designs out there, for example at school I ware superman ones, but that's just me. ;D

I made my own merchandise; I bought an action man, printed off parts of John Wardley's pictures, stuck them around it, so I had an accurate 3D model - now I can do anything with him.

I love how he reads these threads, how creeped out must he be with some of the Wardly fetish stuff flying around :-X

Even more so if he were to have seen that "John Wardley song" someone made back on TTF that I believe is still on Youtube. That was really scary stuff, the weird colours and stuff made it look like someone had dropped a tab before starting work on it ;)

How about some nice plates with a ride on each, would be great for a coaster dinner party. (if the ropers company made them then they may stop moaning :D )

what about coasters for drink shaped as track an you could call them roller coasters :D

Would like to see more past history books such as the past and present book. Maybe giving more in depth designs on the rides and landscape of Alton towers would be interesting to see more of Alton towers past

Ohhhh how wonderful would it be to have an 'Imagineering'-esque book like they do for Disney?! I know it'd be tiny in comparison, but it'd be very special!

El Linky Linky ;)

As for future merchandise ideas, I would honestly love it if they actually put the entire merchandise list onto their web shop (bar, of course, any outside tat) so there was more freedom over buying things without the faff in the shop during the day.

I would also love to see more books on Alton Towers like the Studios side, the history of the park etc. I don't imagine there to be a big market (not counting us geeky loons) but at least some sort of small book to be educated by and made appliable to everybody.

I would like things for the minor rides, even if its just a pin badge or something small. For the likes of Hex, Duel, Rapids, Mine train, etc.

Ahaa, you've got me thinking now! I'd love to own a keyring of the Fallen branch in the vault of hex, that'd be a little conversation starter!

pin trading is a big thing within disney, i dont see why alton couldnt get in on the act too - fairly cheap to produce and 13 seemed to get 2 at launch with staff wearing them - make it all public, do special aniversery ones for attractions or seasonal ones. For repeat visitors it would soon build into a pretty big market Id imagine.

Hi! Not sure if this is in the right place but has anyone else seen the new RITA diecast models available in Towers Trading? Saw them last week when I was there. I think it was about £5.

Anyone else spotted these?

Did you get a picture?

I like the idea of this!
I'd get the collection if they released any other models!
