Just a quick question (apologies if this has been answered before):

Does anybody know why Galactica starts riders in the seated position before flipping them backwards, instead of starting riders in the standing position, so that their legs would be outstretched during the ride (which would be more akin to Superman's flying position) ?

My guess would be since it was a prototype this omwas the first solution before developing rapidly into a better solution

Seated is much more convenient to start it. I can't think of a flying ride outside of a Volare which does otherwise?

Capacity would be much lower too as vertical bodies would require more space. Restraints would be challenging as well.

I have a feeling that being bent at the knees would be a much more comfortable ride experience than in a rigid horizontal position.

And what was the change? All subsequent B&M Flyers have the configuration.

As does the next gen Vekoma flyer.

Instinctively, being in a flat laying position on a forceful coaster seems like it would be more uncomfortable. I’m sure people complain about the one at Flamingo as being one of the most painful rides out there.

It’s profiled like someone’s first creation in NoLimits. A flat laying position is the least of your worries.

It's a bad wild mouse style layout with rubbish trains. Smooth it isn't.
