Goodbye Blade…

Yes we're angry but for the love of God don't try and abuse any certain individuals online over some closed rides and try and hold someone to account when perhaps it's not them but rather some faceless higher ups...no wonder Bianca closed her account right before this was announced.
Very much this - no doubt this would have descended into vitriolic personal abuse against her when she’s simply carrying out (admittedly misguided) company strategy.

Absolute shocker! terrible season, cuts to staffing, we get 1 new ride and lose 3 other attractions probably without replacement and expected to pay more on annual passes. It's sad to see blade go I assume forbidden valley will now be a over 1.4 area for the foreseeable future

Another year where I just won’t be visiting. They need to be hit harder where it hurts, right in the coin purse. People will continue to visit though for a sub par experience.

Genuinely shocking decision and a big f you to families. As if their experience wasn’t already awful.

Might as well just shut Walliams World down for good at this point. One small carousel, an ancient frog hopper and the world's cheapest dark ride makes for an incredibly grim experience.
They could keep that for future cuts. Maybe 2026 season and keep the area as 'closed for new attractions' that may or may not happen.

Frog Hopper is long overdue a removal following Peter Rabbit although Merlin doesn't seem to mind having two identical rides of the same style in the same park i.e. Chessington with Trawler Trouble and Griffins Galleon 🤔

This is super sad, The Blade is a really special ride, lasting 44 years is impressive, but there should have been plans to replace Blade with a new ship, just like Chessington.

They knew Blade was nearing the end of its life for years, to put the brand new Ripsaw next to an empty site of The Blade, that’s just sad.

I’m honestly surprised they haven’t moved the driving school and shuttered all of walliams world, dungeons and burger kitchen. May as well.

Considering Huss make a pirate ship as well seems a missed opportunity

With the addition of Ripsaw v2, and then the removal of Blade, Flávio’s and the Dungeons (I know no one will really miss dungeons but still). This is literally the definition of one step forward, two steps back.

And to add salt into the wound, there’s even less to do for kids under the 1.4 height bracket. The offering wasn’t great to begin with.

Alton Towers is meant to be the UK’s flagship theme park, it’s nothing short of an embarrassment right now.
