Hex [2024 Refurb]: General Discussion

Nobody jinx it like last time and hopefully they listen to feedback regarding the lights

It's literally a ride about a guy that got jinxed. Maybe the 15th Earl should have just bought the Old Beggar Woman a Coke and none of this would have happened. Branches falling, relatives mysteriously dying, door covers mysteriously getting ripped off, parking issues mysteriously still ongoing, maybe he wasn't so wise after all.

I believe the cover has been sliced up into 100 limited edition shards and individually engraved with the date and time at which it was ripped from the vault.

Nice, a real museum piece.

Anyone seen what sort of fix up they've done yet? I'm going to guess that door mechanism/surround will be exposed for now.

I liked the lighting sequences in the vault when I did it on Saturday. I really hope they don’t just bin it off.

Overall I think the ride has had some really great small upgrades that enhance the experience without making it feel like an entirely different thing.

Pleased they’ve got it up and running again in the timeframe they said.

Running very well today.

Not a fan of a couple of lighting effects in the vault. Minor details I guess. Fairy lights on the branch is a bad idea and would be ideal to just turn that off.

Sound has been upgraded but lacks volume/depth in the vault.

I’m not sure if its been mentioned but is that dreadful loud fan that appeared towards the end of the rides last life still in the Octagon? Really detracted from the experience.

I'm sure there used to be lights on the branch? Fibre optics built in?
Please don't tell me they've just draped some LED christmas lights over it?
There were previously fibre optics / lights on the branch. I could see them described as LED Christmas Lights. It depends on how sensitive you are to these things, if you're looking to critique, if you hadn't noticed them before and a whole load of other factors. It could also be a personal taste and preference thing.

There were fibre optics in the branch itself, not fairy lights, and they looked pretty good. I presume they still are there.

But then they were so often broken, I can see why there could be some suprise at them working.

IIRC they only used to light up at the end though. Maybe they should revert to that?

Either way the whole lighting set up now is fully programmable and adjustable so I’d imagine they’ll keep tweaking over time until they get it perfect.
