No rooms available in ATH over new year for 2 adults and 2 children. Seem reasonable at £300 odd for NYE, however it says theme park pass inc, what is actually included a couple of rides?

Reasonable? For one night room only, with a tiny selection of rides for a few hours a day and a small low key show? Seems a good time for one of my Butlins comparisons!

Just got back from new years at Bognor. 3 nights, including breakfast and dinner at just under £800 for two adults and a child. About double what I usually pay, but kids holidays over new years seems fair and still really good value.

Included in the price were all the usual things; big fairground, kids rides, soft play, waterpark, and shows.

On top of the usual in house shows, like the panto and redcoat stuff, were loads of tribute acts in the evenings across three venues, it was like a little festival. Real high quality live band stuff, not the karaoke in a wig type. We had Queen, Coldplay, Robbie Williams, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Becky Hill, Olly Murrs, and others. Each of the venues had a huge countdown party NYE with light shows, pyro, confetti cannons etc. Unfortunately sideways torrential rain caused the fireworks to be cancelled, a shame but completely understandable.
On top of that lots of lower key entertainment to escape to, acoustic bands and soloists or a new years day pub quiz.

Dinner was the usual hotel buffet, plentiful hot and varied food that's decent quality. An unadvertised glass of wine thrown in on new years eve dinner and a bucks fizz new years day breakfast. Cheers Butlins!

We stayed in the shoreline hotel, smart and functional (starting to show some wear now, the other hotels were refreshed over the last couple of years and I'd expect this to get some love soon) and stand up well quality wise compared to towers hotels. Could have paid nearly £300 less in the budget apartments!

Oh, and despite the completely captive audience double Gordon's and mixer about £7, beers under £5, properly made and muddled cocktails (sorry sir, I've just got to go and get more passionfruits is not something you'll gear at AT!) at 2 for £12

If Towers gave some sort of premium magical experience and service in quality modern rooms I'd get it, but they don't. How reasonable is that £300 really?

Hi,

Has anyone received a £30 off hotel stays at AT code (that they aren't going to use) and would be kind enough to share with me?

I only meant for NYE, not any other time.
 
We've just booked a hotel for the thurs evening on fireworks weekend, fairly reasonable too at £45 each
 
Just a heads up for some reason unknown it appears that the Merlin Holiday Club page seems to be down on some browsers
 
We’ve just booked Splash Landings for opening weekend. Haven’t stayed there since the year it opened and my parents took me. My partner has never stayed there.

Looking forward to it but after reading this thread I’m not sure how excited we should be!?

Bring some cooling mist spray as they're connected to a indoor waterpark they're boiling all year round with no Aircon and there's a fan on the wall but it makes so much noise however the rooms are nice but they do get seriously warm.

If you haven't been for a while you will likely enjoy yourself. I stayed in ATH last year after a four year gap and enjoyed it probably more than I normally would. If you haven't been for a while it’s more exciting.

We’re all individuals with our own opinions so try not to dwell on the negativity shared on here.

I also stayed at ATH for the fist time in five years last year and it was fine. Breakfast was slightly better than expected, but I had low expectations. The cooked stuff was good, its little things like the variety of jam and pastries that could be improved.
