Supports are apparently being marked with blue and orange paint as well, which is weird.

It does sound like that is what they are doing, not sure I'd fancy being stuck up there if it was too windy! Maybe they will program an auto roll back of its too windySo apparently today there is a train at the top of lift hill 1 why the bloke is blowing wind into the new windometer thingy again. I was thinking the windometer thingy would be a manual process of close the ride if it measures x. However this could suggest they are programming the ride to automatically shut down when wind gust = x ??

Yes. This is very likely to happen, having done all that work, they are tearing down the ride...Further, they are apparently marking supports with paint today. Which could suggest they are gonna tear the thing down! The plot thickens.

My post was tinged with the same amount of sarcasm as yours.
The point is whilst most of the things they are doing, such as wind machines, are easy to rationalise. The painting of supports is not and would point to structural issues/changes. What do you suggest it may be?

On a serious note, why are they putting paint on supports?
Also apparently only front row dummies today! 4 on a train , another dummy taken off!

Hmm paint on supports is strange, maybe it is relating to reference points to the positioning of the cherry picker in certain situations. Do we know where the supports that they are painting are situated?
Could of course be preparation of planned closed season work also.

Cherry picker Charlie is back up blowing into the anemometer again while there is a train at the top of lift hill 1.
A lot of maintenance going down into the first inversion, like 7 guys lol
They are now taking the train down lift 1 with only 2 dummies in the front.
Ok, personally I think if it's gone down to, 4, then 3, then 2 dummies so far today that they are aiming for 0 dummies before tomorrow, then a midday opening tomorrow allowing a full day to settle in before scarefest comes in, it's either before Saturday, or in the week before fireworks in my opinion

I'm not sure if they would, another stall, no matter whether they are trying or not, is the last thing they need.

I would think they would at least want to make it stall before an opening? To prove all the work and alarm bells they are fitting actually are effective.
They definitely won't want that! They can probably simulate one on the system but a stall causes a lot of other issues.
I wouldnt be so sure? Lets face it, if an accident like that were to happen again it would spell out the demise of the whole park and potentially the whole multi million pound company. They cant take that risk. Creating the same scenario allows them to see how quickly they can reach the car. That the protocols and bells and whistles they have fitted work and that everyone is on the correct page so that this categorically cannot happen again. Im sure management are insisting on that one!

Yes, other issues that they need to be prepared for. It has happened several times before and will happen again unless they are planning on re-profiling the track. Which doesn't seem to be the case.

Well, a likely guess is that the stall was due to the high wind that day, I remember walking home with one of my friends that day who was going on the 3rd June and saying 'I hope the wind isn't like this for you tomorrow', and it will likely not ever be run in wind speeds like that again.

All the previous stalls occurred for specific reasons, not on a whim. They've established the stall on the day of the accident was down to the wind and they've obviously taken that into account. I doubt they'll even let the ride get remotely close to stalling from the wind in the coming future, most likely closing the ride when the wind is past a certain extent in a similar manner to the Big One at PBB.

They wouldn't purposselly make it stall, it would mean they'd have to take the train off and put it back on, the GP could see, the media would get onto it as soon as it did, and X sector would probably be closed off. They'll just establish why it stalled and try and prevent it stalling (probably closed in high winds)
