Legoland Windsor

I know we all have problems with the way merlin are treating the parks. Yesterday I took my daughter to legoland for the brick day with supposedly limited rides but we had a huge surprise when collecting her rap card to be told the full park was open as maintenance had managed to get everything done and signed off Including mini figure speedway hats off to the staff at legoland rides where walk on all day. My daughter is 4 and autistic so doesn't understand she can't just keep riding lol but because they was so quiet they allowed her to keep riding until she had enough we sat on mini figure speedway for 2 hours just lapping. Shame no entertainment at all apart from some pirates roaming around by the log flume.

Nice, hats off staying on mini figure speedway that long, I would have puked after about the 3rd go :) .

Joys of an autistic thrill seeking daughter she would ride all day every day the fact she is only 4 and nearly 1.2 already is exciting as we have now rode every available coaster in the UK for her height. She is only 0.1 from hitting the 1.2 mark and she gets so excited watching things like wickerman

We were at a Legoland a few days ago and noticed that they are tearing down the old ticket booths etc. at the entrance. Couldn't get a picture unfortunately as I was being dragged away by my boy.
They applied last year to significantly remodel the entrance:

Like with most things Merlin at the moment, though, the plans have been scaled back and they’re now doing a smaller tart-up.

Has anyone stayed at premium woodland lodge at Legoland Windsor how comfortable was the sofa bed.

Also,

Does Legoland Windsor theme park have brick or treat during an weekday in October or is it only during weekend? Brick or treat is on in October during school term even though parents take their children on holiday during school term time

They usually have it on during the half term break.
Why is only during half term break they have brick or treat if parents take children out of school during term time even though the children should be in their primary school and secondary school during term time meaning the children are playing truancy form their primary school and secondary school

I’m not convinced this question is in good faith but I’ll give it a go anyway.

A theme park putting on an event that costs them additional money to operate during off peak dates would be a poor business move as even if a portion of families do attend through means of truancy it’s unlikely to be enough to offset the additional costs.

Presumably Legoland have an idea of anticipated visitor numbers in conjunction with term dates and plan their events accordingly.

Whilst there is evidence that school attendance has fallen post Covid I don’t think the numbers would warrant a change of policy by Legoland, nor would it be a good look for them to be seen to be encouraging truancy with events aimed at children during term time.

As an aside the majority of increases in lower attendance are due to a shortfall in SEN education places as opposed to truancy but that’s another thread.

I also don’t think it would be good of the park to promote truancy! That could get them into trouble; I seem to remember Geoffrey Thompson being told off by the council for opening during the week back in the 90s Pleasure Beach documentary as it was promoting truancy!

They definitely wouldn’t get enough young guests to warrant running a Halloween event during the week regardless. The park’s clientele is ultimately young children, who can only visit at weekends and during the holidays.

To be honest, I think it depends on what areas have half terms/holidays run and when.

With Towers and Easter this year, it may have made more sense to run holiday opening hours for a bit longer as different regions had it differently.

With Legoland and Halloween, it depends on when the other regions are off. I'd certainly wouldn't encourage parents taking their kids out of school outside of term time so that shouldn't be a factor in Merlin's planning.
