I was on the last ride to guests on the 20th October. We were there for fireworks and managed to squeeze in one last ride before ride-close. So glad we did as it’s surreal to have unexpectedly been one of the last paying guests to have been on it.

The ride last went around the circuit on that date, but it last operated for guests in 2019.

That bit of land in the middle of the ultimate can they build on that if they do decide to remove the coaster.
Think they do need a couple of family coasters after they closed 2 park favourites.
Could they add any rides from Brighton pier?

They have space for about ten coasters before using that bit, it is a long way from the main rides section.

I believe it was run to show potential buyers for the park that it was serviceable.

Looks more boring than I remembered. Clearly more exciting in the semi dark with dinosaurs. @rob666 I bet you can see the exact spot where our car came to a grinding halt and we had an exciting ‘lights on’ walkout followed by the staff comment “That was the happiest evacuation ever”

What a shame, they should take it down then instead of leaving it there to rot. Was the ultimate not suitable for under 12’s? I never rode it but was under the impression it wasn’t a super thrilling coaster.

They'll likely take it down eventually, but for a park that's clearly been struggling to make ends meet for some time, mucking about taking down a ride that's ultimately away from public areas will be far down their list in terms of expenditure at the moment.

Yup, when they do take it down they'll probably only remove the structural stuff that's likely to cause a danger as it degrades, lift hills etc. I can't see them bothering with the lower level track with it being so hidden anyway.

I never rode it either, but I get the impression that the second half was pretty brutal!

No surprise there, I don't think anyone really expected them to reopen it.

Another UK top 5 coaster gone. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I'd take Ultimate, Mouse and Knightmare over Wicker Man, Smiler and Icon any day.

Sadly never got to ride Knightmare or Ultimate, we missed out on Ultimate due to them scaling back and having it SBNO

I have ridden the ultimate… it was ultimately nuts in so many ways it was designed .. thats what made the ride.

It wasn’t a particularly interesting layout or anything special, but just crazy rough and brutal. But amazing at the same time
