Lightwater Valley

Furuvik still has Rocket in storage trying to sell it, no? It was refurbished fairly recently by Gerstlauer and can still, if I remember correctly run multiple two car trains. I think it would make a good investment for Lightwater Valley as from what I remember Furuvik were trying to sell it for fairly cheap.

Isn't that what they called their horrendous rollercoaster from last year? Shiver.

My last experience in that shed was a valleying out, sideways on, in the dark, with dinosaurs, and dippy dave.

Obviously the highlight of the day, the op said we were his happiest evacuation ever.

What a shed.

I just watched the Theme Park Worldwide video saying that an SC 2000 (Fantasy Island's Spinning Racer) was rumoured for Lightwater Valley. Funnily enough, the video was put up yesterday, but I only just got round to watching it. If true, that's an impressive choice!

He also said there was talk of a second coaster. I haven't seen that anywhere, anyone any the wiser?

I just had a look at what coasters the Mellors Group currently owns. Ruling out other spinners and Wacky Worms (which I believe Lightwater Valley already has - Caterpillar), it could well be the Runaway Train from American Adventure. As far as I can tell it isn't currently used anywhere, but they do own it.

Possibly the Looping Star that Slagharen had that I've mentioned a few pages ago but that's operated in Kuwait for the last few years

It'd certainly fill in the gap for the more thrilling side if it's that's the case but it's a dream.

I'd love it to be the looping star, I'd be happy if it was the runaway mine train but I just can't help but think we are only getting one coaster. I'm curious about three things, whether they will do a two tier price structure like Fantasy Island, whether they will do an annual pass which takes in the two parks, and what possible other filler rides they might bring in to offer enough for more thrill based visitors.

I'd hope for a starflyer or drop tower, some kind of kickback style ride, and possibly a water based ride. Whether that is realistic or not I have no idea. But I do think getting off on the right foot is critical.
