Long Journey Club

About an hour & 3/4 for me if there is no traffic, where i used to live it was an hour but hey ho :D
 
About an hour for me. Sometime stop off at Uttox Starbucks for a drink

However, you do not get to pass the delights of Starbucks Drive Thru en route. Now, that - is something you're missing!

As it is, I am 35 minutes away in Rugeley.

Well, I'm not a big fan of Starbucks Yes, I know this blaspheme .So I don't think I'm missing much, haha.

To be fair, it IS all about one shot, watery latte's from Corner Coffee.

Finally, somone else who lives down here! This is the first forum I've ever found that has another cornwall resident as a member.
 
I'm a 3 hour car drive away, and that's a good day. 3 and a half to 4 hours if there's a bit of traffic.

Still... We Kentish have Dickens World, one of the most disappointing attractions in the history of this country... so yeah... take that you northerners... :'(

When I come on my own I travel by coach which takes 3-4 hours but usually I make the most of it and stay a few days :)
 
1 Hour & 57 minutes according to AA Route Planner, although I doubt it's actually ever took that long before in car. Usually takes about 1H 45M without a stop at services.

So yeah, compared to the Scots and Southerners on TST, I can't complain really. :p
 
Jonathan and AR12 I know what you mean about driving up from Cornwall as I am off there this weekend to visit my brother from M5 J11A. I feel for you having to suffer A30, Almondsbury at Bristol and Birmingham.
Lol Maya your Dad must drive like my daughter. She has a Golf tdi which goes like the wind even with 5 up until we get on the rural roads from Stafford and then we always get stuck behind a tractor.
Ok Stevie you have us all drooling.
Pity someone clever can't make a theme park journey site so we could pass on hold ups. My phone is rubbish on WiFi so I can't use any live traffic site
 
Don't know how they can work it out with all the pay on the door guests but for Alton in the Teachers Resources pdf it states for period 7/2010 - 6/2011:

From home (which is Beverley near Hull) around 2 hours. From Uni (which is Glasgow) I don't know. I don't have a car and I've never attempted the journey by train. I'm guessing 5 hours plus.
 
From where I currently live during the open season, I'm only 20 mins away in Leek :) which is much better than my previous travel time from somewhere in the hills of Scotland, which was roughly 8 hours by car, with no stops and no traffic :eek:

Oh how I remember the days of being stuck in a car for 10 hours being held up numerous times on the M6 car park :( so glad I live closer now :D
